English summary: For 50 years, ecology has been on the agenda of public policy. For what results? Everyone now aspires to change the model. But are the best intentions enough? Now, for the first time since Marx, a book, Sustain, proposes a global approach to the productive system and describes the tools necessary for its transformation. It is certainly important that our development be sustainable and respectful of future generations. However, people must be able to build sustainability through their very modes of production! Under the cover of time, the main factors of production, capital, labor, and technology are profoundly transformed: to be sustainable, capital becomes heritage, labor is devoted to maintenance, while technology serves as a protective envelope. The economy now reaches its highest and most dignified moral and political dimension, far from the dominant ideologies of innovation, disruption and creative destruction. Pierre Caye, a director of research at the CNRS, has devoted a significant part of his research to the humanistic sources of our philosophical, artistic and political culture. He is the author of Critique de la destruction creatrice (Les Belles Lettres, 2015), Comme un nouvel Atlas (Les Belles Lettres, 2017), and Durer (Les Belles Lettres, 2020). German description: Depuis 50 ans, l'ecologie est a l'ordre du jour des politiques publiques. Pour quels resultats ? Chacun aspire desormais, aussi bien a droite qu'a gauche, a changer de modele . Mais les meilleures intentions suffisent-elles ? Or, pour la premiere fois depuis Marx, un livre, Durer, propose une approche globale du systeme productif et decrit les outils necessaires a sa transformation. Il importe certes que notre developpement soit durable et respecte les generations futures. Encore faut-il que les hommes soient en mesure de construire la duree a travers leurs modes memes de production ! Sous le couvert du temps, les principaux facteurs de production, le capital, le travail, la technique s'en trouvent profondement transformes: pour durer, le capital devient le patrimoine, le travail se consacre a la maintenance, en meme temps que la technique nous sert d'enveloppe protectrice. L'economie accede desormais a sa dimension morale et politique la plus haute et la plus digne, loin des ideologies dominantes de l'innovation, de la disruption et de la destruction creatrice.
