Este libro recoge las contribuciones realizadas al seminario doctoral "La Uni籀n Europea y el principio de solidaridad", organizado por la Fundaci籀n Academia Europea e Iberoamericana de Yuste entre el 24 y 26 de noviembre de 2021. Su contenido cubre diferentes 獺reas de investigaci籀n, entre las cuales se observan las l穩neas propuestas en el t穩tulo de la publicaci籀n desde una perspectiva tan rica como diversa: el recorrido desde las relaciones sociales al principio jur穩dico y las dimensiones contradictorias de la solidaridad en la UE; las formas y niveles de solidaridad en la UE; las perspectivas financieras y fiscales del principio de solidaridad desde la iniciativa de inversi籀n para la respuesta al coronavirus a NextGenerationEU; las pol穩ticas de inmigraci籀n y actitudes hacia la inmigraci籀n en Europa; la gesti籀n de la frontera sur espa簽ola en materia de migraci籀n y asilo; el papel de UE en la construcci籀n de paz centr獺ndose en el caso de Colombia; la cooperaci籀n internacional como manifestaci籀n del principio de solidaridad, analizando la cooperaci籀n de la UE a trav矇s de proyectos en materia de derecho a la educaci籀n en Colombia; el papel de la libertad de circulaci籀n y el Brexit en las decisiones de movilidad y las experiencias migratorias; el desaf穩o econ籀mico, pol穩tico y geoestrat矇gico Euro-Sino de la Ruta de la Seda Polar; o los drones como herramientas al servicio del mecanismo de protecci籀n civil de la UE.

This book compiles the contributions made to the Doctoral Seminar on "The European Union and the Principle of Solidarity", which was organised by European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation from 24 to 26 November 2021. Its contents cover different research areas, including the lines proposed in the title of this publication from a rich and diverse perspective: the trajectory from social relations to the legal principle and the conflicting dimensions of EU solidarity; the forms and levels of solidarity in the EU; the financial and fiscal perspectives of the principle of solidarity from the Coronavirus Response Investment to the NextGenerationEU; immigration policies and attitudes towards immigration in Europe; the management of the Spanish southern border in terms of migration and asylum; the EU's role in peace-building with a focus on the case of Colombia; international cooperation as a manifestation of the principle of solidarity, analysing EU cooperation through projects on the right to education in Colombia; the role of freedom of movement and Brexit in mobility decisions and migratory experiences; the Polar Silk Road as a Euro-Sino economic, political and geo-strategic challenge; or drones as tools at the service of the EU's civil protection mechanism.
