內容簡介

《草葉集》裡的詩作內容，沒有必要的邏輯聯繫。有的詩作表述生活哲理，有的則讚美人性光輝。不過，其中有些詩品表達的重要思想，也許中國讀者並不一定知道，是作者對情欲的高度認可甚至讚美。而這一點在19世紀的美國是被認為有違道德的。此外，有些詩品則是在採用大量象徵手法、比喻手法以及沉思方式，對宗教以及精神層面，都發自內心地進行了大膽的意見抒發，對物質與肉體世界給予了拔高與認可。
