Davis Medical School and is a founding member of the Sutter Center for Integral Health, and has participated in grand rounds with many medical doctors.
The inspiration for writing a comprehensive guide began after Brian's residency at a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital in Cheng Du, China. During this period of time, Brian did a rotation with a doctor who was a leading expert in the field of cold and flu treatment. The sheer number of patients who experienced the benefits from her treatments left a lasting impression. After returning to California, Brian began utilizing and refining her methods. Later, based on experience as a guest lecturer at the University of California Medical School, Brian began to understand the value of research and began to incorporate modern research into this book.
Based on his unique background, blending ancient and modern wisdom, along with 30 years of clinical experience, Brian has written this book to provide an entirely new framework for the natural treatment of colds and flu.
