內容簡介
The genetically advanced "gens" rule the skies, ruthlessly eliminating those who possess forbidden technology and ensuring that humans who reject genetic modification pose no threat to the gens' quest for eternal life. The rumors grow: the gens have a plan to be rid of the unmodified humans forever. But a group of underground rebels plots to stop the god-like gens and save humanity. The gens have armies, advanced technologies, and bribes of eternal life. Still, the rebels have a few tricks of their own, and the gens don't see them coming. Or do they? And in the midst of it all stands a girl. Both sides hunt her. Both sides seek to possess her. Yet most have no idea what she might become if she lives or what might happen if she doesn't. A pawn may one day become a queen, but few survive that long. As for you: If you could take a pill and live 50 years longer, would you? What if the pill let you live another 100 years with youth and vigor? Would you try to live forever? What would it cost you? Soon you will learn.
