內容簡介
Oscana is crumbling: A nation once revered for magic is now withering in the wake of its disappearance. Desperate for salvation, people turn to two saviors: The Goddess Altheia, or the deadly Tylan Faine. The continent's fate relies on the decisions of two women whose paths are unexpectedly intertwined. Kezra is a lethal servant bonded to a cruel master, Tylan Faine. Tylan trades magical favors for a price. Those who are unwilling to pay are hunted down, and Kezra is his blade. Bonded to Tylan as a child against her will, Kezra has spent her life longing for freedom. Lennox serves as an acolyte serving in the temple of Altheia. On the eve of her blessing ceremony that will tie her to her goddess forever, her future is shattered when Kezra abducts her, dragging her to Tylan's lair. To escape Tylan, the two must work together, forming a weary alliance. Their flight becomes a perilous journey across Oscana where old magic awakens and buried truths refuse to stay hidden. As the past begins to surface, the two must uncover the question neither wants to confront: what does Tylan want with an unassuming priestess and what secrets bind their fates together?
