Centuries ago, catechesis was the norm for both adults and children, and it is still just as effective. Kids love to memorize and recite during their formative years, and they are great at it! This helps to build a strong foundation of essential information that will lead them to better understanding later. A Children's Catechesis is a 40-week curriculum guide for teachers and families. Each week's information will be introduced on Sunday and is intended to be reviewed at home during the week. More than a teaching aid for Sunday school, most importantly, A Children's Catechesis will become a handy tool to use at home every week. With the church's support, the information in this guide will help children mature in the Christian faith through classical catechetical instruction. Children are never too young and parents are never too old to learn the simple truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Proverbs instructs, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it" (22:6). Karina Taylor has written an accessible catechism for both kids and parents that provides a firm foundation for families to grow together in their faith.
