內容簡介
It can be quite daunting to discover all the meaningful knowledge that can be found in God's Word, within its sixty-six books of life-changing content. However, author Rich Jensen successfully organizes several of God's revealing truths into his yearlong (fifty-two weeks) devotional, Words of Wisdom from God's Word. Each week comprises a primary verse of discussion in the devotional, followed by set questions to prompt journaling opportunities and memory verses to keep in one's mind and heart. Rich begins his devotionals with Week One's discussion of Genesis 1:1, the beginning of the heavens and earth from God. The lesson concentrates on creation; that God alone can create, while man can only use what God has created and must rely on Him for everything, especially having a personal relationship with Him. As the devotionals progress, topics such as the necessity of rest, purpose of Jesus' death on the cross and what to expect when you read the Bible are also depicted. Rich coincides the scripture verses with personal insight and interpretation to show God's truths can affect a person's life for the better and can be used to uncover one's purpose and calling in life. The devotional concludes with a motivating entry about who Jesus is, born in the month of Christmas to a struggling nation. As God brought Jesus into the world when the world needed Him, God will bring Him forth again when the time is right to reclaim His dominion of heaven and earth. Words of Wisdom from God's Word is an engaging venture into the substance of the Bible, giving readers an inside glimpse into the Heavenly Father's mindset to help daily live for Him instead of themselves.
