內容簡介
Colorful, classy and sassy, Vivacious Vi the impetuous seahorse explores, rescues, and makes new friends. Many morals lie under the surface of the bay in this story of friendship, compassion, teamwork, self-confidence and respect for the environment. All tied together by mouthfuls of fun rhymes with big and small words. The reader will build their vocabulary and deepen their love of the ocean and appreciation for nature every time they read The Adventures of Miss Vivacious Vi and Friends.
Our main character is the colorful, classy and sassy, impetuous seahorse named Vivacious Vi. She comes across a scene that would make you cry. Silly Willy the green turtle has gotten himself tangled up in a piece of plastic trash. She must enlist the help of Crabby, a shy little red crab who thinks he has nothing to offer. Little does he know his claws contain the power to set Willy free. Once the sand settles from the rescue mission, our trio embarks on the task of ridding the seashore of every last scrap of trash. In order to do so two more friends are added to the cast of characters, Squishy the Squid and Hailey Jo the human heroine. They become lasting friends on that day in the bay, as the stage is set for the second picture book to come.
This story teaches children how to break out of their comfort zone, working together to help one another, instilling in them a sense of ownership and responsibility for our planet. This playful and positive portrait of personal choice empowers while delighting the younger generation of readers.
