""This book draws inspiration from a wide range of sources, including nature, art, personal experiences, and the myriad of emotions that color the human experience. This book of poetry explores intense emotions, moments of vulnerability, and the complexities of the human mind. The poems within these pages seek to unpack feelings of grief, heartbreak, healing, and joy while living in a world where being overwhelmed, lost in thoughts, and experiencing a whirlwind of emotions is the norm. This is the first of what she hopes to be many contributions to the literary world. Kayla Miller is from a small town in Alabama that she attributes to some of her most important life lessons. Born with an insatiable curiosity and a love for books, Kayla's journey as an author began at a young age. Growing up, she spent countless hours immersed in the magic of literature, devouring everything from classic novels to contemporary fiction. This voracious appetite for reading fueled her desire to share her own stories with the world. Kayla attended university just outside of Atlanta, Georgia, where she majored in English and Literature. Kayla honed her skills through years of dedicated practice and exploration including her first professional writing position as an entertainment writer for a small newspaper in Tennessee. After leaving the newspaper, Kayla was offered a job that required frequent travel to various parts of the country. Eventually leading her to Charleston, South Carolina, which immediately captured her heart and encouraged her to give up her nomadic lifestyle. In 2018 she met her now husband, Joe, with whom she notes that this book would not be possible. The two live on the beach with their 2 cats (Kitty Purry and Captain Jack Sparrow) and 2 dogs (Maverick and Phoenix).""
