內容簡介
Captain Daisy Daryl and her eccentric crew aboard Space Scrap 17 are back for another uproarious adventure in the galaxy's most unreliable garbage freighter. This time, their mission is to transport a banned substance, the infamous 1960s Purple Sex Gas, across the stars to save a pleasure planet from a deadly plague. Unbeknownst to them, the gas has mutated over the centuries. Anyone who touches it transforms into an eight-foot-tall, slavering death horror, intent on exterminating anything around it that has the audacity to be alive. Trapped in the cargo bay with these monstrosities, the crew must play a dangerous and hysterical game of cat and mouse through the bowels of the ship. All the while, they are racing against the clock to reboot their neurotic ship's computer before Space Scrap 17 plunges into a black hole made of limerent gravity. Alongside her unpredictable ex-lover Michigan Jones, the bio-enhanced and occasionally twerking Doctor Smiert, and the sarcastic ambassador-turned-assassin Tongue, Daisy navigates through absurd and perilous challenges. From confrontations with mind-bending telepaths to the antics of the bio-mechanoid Emergency Klaxons, the crew's journey is anything but smooth. The fate of New Amsterdam hangs in the balance, and it's up to this ragtag team to deliver the cure and avoid disaster. Filled with clever humour, side-splitting moments, and horrific puns, "1960s Purple Sex Gas" propels the space opera parody genre into new stratospheres of absurdity.
