I Give This To You Lord

After reading Darlene Link's book, I have found a deep truth; one that is difficult, if not impossible, to fully understand unless you've lived it, it's called "Suffering!" Without going into the depth of it, my wife Doris and I... have known suffering, after losing two of our three sons to death. Once a person has been through it, they will never be able to forget it! No one has ever suffered as Jesus Christ did. He was beaten, spat upon, mocked, nailed to a tree, and pierced in His side until His heart ruptured and He bled to death. If anyone is qualified to speak on suffering, it is Jesus Christ! Yet, He says: If we suffer with Him, we will also reign with Him (2 Timothy 2:12). The key to reigning through suffering is to love enough to do what Scriptures tell us to do: "Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:2-3).

Darlene's captivating story will open the door to this mystery to whoever has the will and courage to read and pursue it! The key to entering this truth is to deny and humble ourselves and enter into the suffering that has been set before us, turn this over completely to God.
