Infinite beauty is a coffee-table-style book full of answers to Helen's question posed on social media: "What is beauty to you?".
With heartfelt contributions from people all over the world, aged 5 to 86, the answers will undoubtedly uplift, inspire, comfort, bring joy and give hope to anyone who reads it. Each quote is accompanied by one of Helen's gritty abstract photographs of ordinary, everyday things - boldly illustrating that beauty is all around us, every second of every day, even when it doesn't feel like it.
Designed to be opened at random, Infinite beauty was created to offer comfort and hope at times of difficulty, to encourage the questioning of everything you encounter, and to uplift. From lampposts and letterboxes, to skip bins and old wooden boards, Helen's photographs of the forgotten, hidden and neglected transform the ordinary into vibrant abstract life. As well as demonstrating how the ordinary can transform into the extraordinary, Helen's work also shows us that by changing the way we look at things, we are able to change the way we experience them, boldly illustrating the power of removing labels and judgements, allowing for a new perspective.
One of the most beautiful things of all, is that the answers undoubtedly have one thing in common - that beauty has little to do with what we see, and everything to do with how it makes us feel. Be it a sense of wonder, of love, of appreciation, of authenticity, of recognition, of sharing, of joy, of peace, of bliss, of a recollection of memories or of simply experiencing our senses. Which is something that unites us all, as human beings, experiencing this one precious life, together, on this planet we have the privilege to call home.
