There are chapters on why churches assemble and two chapters on why they meet on Sundays, how people should conduct themselves in church, what worship should produce in worshippers, why God is so partial to people who are broken in spirit, how God works in believers to accomplish His purposes, guardian angels, what true love looks like in action, the difference between faith and presumption, death and what it is, and what Paul meant when he spoke of falling from grace.You will see what repentance is and is not. It also deals with sinless perfection, what John meant when he spoke of keeping the commandments, what it means to be a true saint and the Death Penalty. How do you pray for lost people? The answer is here along with a look at John's Baptism, Joel's Prophecy and The Prayers of Cornelius. Two chapters in this book explain why both the bread and the cup of the Lord's Supper must be unleavened. The book also addresses Church Discipline, how to resolve offences, abortion, homosexuality and the Christian's role in politics.What We Believe and Why - v2 is in annotated outline form making it ideal for teaching and systematic Bible study. This is the third edition of Dr. Hutson's 1982 book by the same title. The content remains essentially the same; but the book has recently undergone a major edit to improve the strength and flow of its language.
