The language that the Apostle Paul uses in the text of Romans chp. 7 clearly shows that there is some conflict going on between those two elements of Law and Gospel in Paul's life. How does this relate to us who are believers in Christ? This book tries to give some answers to what seemingly might be considered to be a dilemma in a Christian's life.
This work also is about "growing up" in the Lord. Simply put, every believer is called to maturity in Christ, as opposed to remaining in the infant stage of when they first came into the faith. Some practical tools are given for how we can accomplish that task. These are the basics of our Christian beliefs. In the end, it is the "essence of the gospel message". (I Peter 2:16)
About The Author A native New Yorker, and retired police officer, Ed Steele is not a theologian nor an ordained minister of any particular denomination of the Christian Church. He is simply a guy who wants to share the gospel message of Jesus Christ. This book, "A Look at Romans - Chp.7", is Ed's second published work. It talks to the subject of looking at the law in its right perspective and how it relates to the gospel. Ed shows how the Apostle Paul points us to Jesus as the only way out of the dilemma of sin - something that the law could not do. Just as in his first published work - "The Sin System of Our World" - Ed brings us to a similar conclusion in this present work, and that is, without Christ, we are all lost; with Christ, we are saved to a new life. Ed hopes you, the reader, will see the essence of the gospel message portrayed in this book in a way that perhaps you may never have thought of before.
