Many marriages today are not experiencing the deep-down-in-your-soul joy that a healthy fulfilling marriage relationship brings. Sadly, many couples have not seen enough models of healthy marriage relationships to know how to emulate them. As a result, couples are crying out for help that seemingly never comes. This book is written as a model for marriage based upon the Designer's (God) intention from the beginning. In the Beginning It Was Not So, gives couples the best model of success for marriage, going back to the "Garden Model" set in motion by our almighty God. Encompassed into seven marriage lessons, this book uncovers what the Designer revealed in these truths through Adam and Eve's story. This book offers readers insight into God's mindset and intentions for marriage and how we have missed following those in today's times. It starts with understanding our own purpose in life, and how this impacts our view of ourselves and our self-worth. Then three lessons are discussed that surrounds one very significant "creature", and that is the WOMAN! The woman's companionship is man's greatest need, and she is also his greatest challenge. Finally, this book describes the "path to oneness" that was so carefully and specifically laid out for us by the Creator himself. We all want and need oneness in our relationship to feel the fulfillment God designed. Let this book take you back to "the beginning" where there was blissful innocence, pure committed relationships, and oneness of heart, mind, and purpose. Go back to the Garden of Eden, from where these seven marriage lessons originate. Terry and Carol are highly active in ministry to couples. They are Certified Marriage Mentors, and Certified SYMBIS Facilitators through Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott Ministries. They also help build healthy marriage relationships through One Flesh Ministries, a marriage relationship building ministry in which they are Founders and Executive Officers (onefleshministries.info). Terry has 50+ years of ministry experience and Biblical teaching. Carol has led various church ministries and also has her own Catering Company called, "Carol's Kitchen." They are members of Christ Fellowship Church in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. They enjoy traveling together and relaxing at home. Terry enjoys reading, watching sports, teaching, mentoring, and shepherding. Carol's gift of hospitality is expressed in her love for cooking, catering, event planning, and entertaining. They have been blessed with five children (one resides in heaven) and two grandchildren.
