The Story of a Great Warrior is reminiscent of the book Mother Courage, written by Bertolt Brecht, in a setting during the Thirty Years War. The courage of a woman to protect her children from the wimps and fancies of evil and corrupt military officers is evident. The use of deceit on the part of the military to recruit the son of Mother Courage is a typical example of the obstacles faced by women, However, she had to move on. Mother Courage had the burden of supporting her children amid the hostile military forces in Europe. The Story of a Great Warrior is a source of inspiration, particularly for women who have been the victims of evil forces within society. It brings the good news of those who have been the victims of all forms of jealousy. It illustrates the power of the human soul to to be victorious in spite of adversarial relationships. Arianna De Angel, had the burden of supporting her children in the hostile foreign countries which were not hospitable to Guyanese nationals who were viewed as foreign interlopers. In spite of all the adversarial relationships she endured, Arianna still had the fortitude and strength to carry on her business, in a similar fashion as Mother Courage. The Story of a Great Warrior exemplifies the strength of good over evil. It represents the triumph of the divine creator over the forces of darkness. The book illustrates how the world is full of trickery and how we must guard against the evil forces that lark in each corner, waiting for our transgressions. Arianna provides hope for mothers in similar situations, who are faced with the daunting task of raising their children when the father is not around. Finally, the book provides ample cases on how to see an importunity, and take advantage of these opportunities when presented. It teaches us how to be fearless and obedient toward God, which is the source of life itself. Arianna, like Mother Courage, focuses on business, both have been able to develop their entrepreneurship through their own experience, fortitude, and faith in God. Arianna De Angel hails from Guyana, she has two children, Shumaul and baby Elijah. She also had four helpers for her business: Gary, Pablo, Iyanna, and Alexis. She migrated to Barbados, and traveled to the United States where she purchased items for her business from New York, Miami, and Los Angeles. Her son Shumaul is a designer and specializes in the manufacturing of footwear.
