My name is Louisa Ashforth, I am Beauty Salon Owner of 20 years. I started back when I was 21 and I look back now at things I would have told my 21-year-old self. I want to share some of these things with you. Maybe you can relate? Or maybe some of these things will help to ensure you do not take the same path as me and you can trust in yourself. The intention of this book is to inspire you to learn from some of my stories and maybe laugh at some too. I want to help you Create Salon Success and have the business you dream of with some really simple techniques. By helping you to recognise that having a strong, positive mindset and understanding why we do what we do are the key to achieving the successful salon you desire. I hope you find useful information in this book along with some lessons and some laughter too. I believe we can choose to keep smiling through whatever poop we are going through. Nobody wants to see a miserable face, do they? It is not always easy in our job, is it? But let's get that mask on and smile, right? I believe in Beauty we wear a kind of mask, not the COVID ones and no we are not 2 faced! Greet your client with a smile and both yours and their worries can fade away, even just for a little while. How precious is it, that we can create an environment to ease people's worries, even if it is just for the short space of their treatment time?
