About the author
Dr. Robin A. Lococo is a distinguished figure in humanitarian work and special needs education, honored with the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 and the Top 20 Women of the World Congressional Award in 2020. Internationally acclaimed as a Global Civility Icon for Special Needs Education, she is also an esteemed author, known for her impactful book "Stress and Depression among Disabilities," published in 2021.
As the President and Founder of Challenged Champions and Heroes and the Vice President of I Change Nations, Dr. Lococo has been instrumental in promoting positive global change, civility, and inclusivity. Her accolades include the Girma Wolde-Giorgis Presidential Award for Human Conservation Solutionist in 2015 and the Sydney Allicock Global Humanitarian Award in 2018.
Recognized for her commitment to fostering civility and advocating for families, Dr. Lococo received the Family Civility Award in 2020, earning the title of Family Civility Advocate of the Year in Canada. She received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Humanitarian Medicine for her 27 years of unwavering commitment to having a positive impact on the world and her appointment as the humanitarian Ambassador at Large for the World Organization of Natural Medicine in 2023.
