Time, which makes children confident, interesting, heard and happy. Time, called a GOOD TIME! Hello, I'm Lilia, the creator of LAUGHTER WITH THE KIDS! I love kids and I love to laugh with and without a purpose.
I am a mother of 2 boys aged 9 and 14, an aunt to 1 boy aged 12 and 2 girls aged 8 and 12 respectively. They are my inspirators, I love spending time with them and I can boldly say I was an important and fun part of their childhood. Over the past 2 years, I have made great efforts to separate them from their phones. I fought for their attention every time I wanted to talk to them. I could feel myself growing and losing touch with them because the screen had come between us. One morning I woke up with an idea that I could put together some interesting questions, jokes, and riddles to get their attention. I printed them out on paper sheets and tested them first with the little ones, then 7- and 8-year-olds. I took them back in time a bit, when they were begging me to ask them riddles, when they were laughing at my made-up questions and were asking me for more... When reading these sheets, the magic happened.As we were sitting together, we were joined by my husband and the big kids - my son and my nephews. Laughing out loud from one question, we imperceptibly went into amusing conversations about past funny stories, about the future, about dreams... Their answers amazed me. I discovered unpredicted things about children. I discovered how creative and witty they were. They tried to make me laugh by making up things, fantasizing, dreaming, telling me truths they didn't dare tell me previously...Then I realized that if these paths to good times are helpful to us, they will be helpful to other children, parents, teachers, grandparents, aunts. My husband believed in the idea and so, we printed the first edition. This way, two entrepreneurs, who had their own interior door production company and a bee farm, decided to be helpful to people not with doors and honey, but with EMOTIONS and LAUGHTER.
Other families and other children deserve a GOOD TIME as well. We printed the first book with the colour of love. That way the kids could already touch the source of our amusement.
Originally, my idea was to have the parents, the grandparents read the book to the children. It turned out that the children themselves also wanted to read, to ask.
My mission is to have more children smiling and parents in a good mood. Time is our most precious resource, but our children need it.
On June 22, 2024, we were invited to Mental Arithmetic Tournament. Our presence there was like an award ceremony. On that day, I received my medals of success - the hugs and smiles of the children.
With enormous gratitude for the Bulgarian-English translation to Mariela Stoeva. I admire every teacher who has managed to keep the inner child alive. Who remembers the child's emotions and way of thinking. At Miss Stoeva's school (ENIGMA Language Center), children learn English with ease because they have fun while learning. It is an honor for me to have Miss Stoeva translate the book for funny conversations with the children into English because she has an excellent command of them with a book and without a book.
