The resort town of Park City, Utah may be one of the most hiker friendly places in the world. A free public transportation system, coupled with more than 400 miles (640 km) of manicured trails in and around the town, provides easy access to mountain and canyon forests, lakes, streams, fields of flowers, geologic wonders, wildlife viewing, and stunning scenery.
Residents and visitors will find this book indispensable for discovering and navigating the bounty of trails that crisscross Park City's diverse terrain. This book was updated in 2020 to keep pace with Park City's ongoing growth. Included are maps and directions for 45 hiking routes around the town, suburbs, parks and ski resorts. Most of the hikes are less than 5 miles (8 km) long and none takes you more than 10 miles (16 km) away from the heart of town. Each hike is described in terms of difficulty, special features and how to get to the trailhead. You'll also find valuable information about trail etiquette, hiker safety and first aid, and hiking with kids and dogs.
