Fall of the Reaper
Should it wake, its nightmares will consume the world...After her life nearly fell apart, Brygida finally knows her place: away from the village, with her mothers, healing the slumbering wood to keep the nightmares at bay. Her family grimoire warns that the wood may never be allowed to wake, and she claims that duty for her own. That is, until the dreaded cult arrives...Kaspian has never wanted the rulership, but when his father passes away, he has no choice but to ascend to lord. And then a familiar face from his past comes to grant it.With a tide of blood and demons in its wake, the cult arrives to cleanse the so-called stain of witchcraft upon Rubin, and it won't stop until Brygida and her mothers are dead. Dim Sum Days
Helen is obsessed with gods of destruction in Chinatown, and hereditary fracas in the cosmos, the genealogy of muses, who laugh and cry in the passing of time and the sublimation of her "dim sum days," gorgeous days spent staring at the clock and painting canvases that reflect the coming of the Great Muse, the glorious idolatry of the Chinese sub-culture she loves and detests, the dark men she's come to see as both familiar and foreign. Seeking out the planetary whiz and the mulberry pipe, she's just a fraction of her worth, until she meets Edward Yee, the missing piece in her life story. Together they ransom the bird-cage and make the moon shine until it's just an itty bitty splice scone on a plate amidst a bee-bop hol-iday jazz tune that's worth the pleasure. "Dim Sum Days" is a contagious work about love and art, holiday trolling and passionate inter-locking, the cosmos at its most vainglorious struggle. Read it with your trisket har gow on a Sunday after-noon while the junk ships are floating across the Kowloon River, the fantasy never-ending.

The Queen of Limnos
Hypsipyle is one of those mythical characters from ancient Greek literature who was well known at the time of Apollonius, Ovid and Statius, but is largely unknown today. From her life as the daughter of King Thoas and Queen Myrina on the northern Aegean island of Limnos, through her short reign as a monarch who was eventually sold into slavery, Tony Whitefield recreates her story using the existing literature and a fair degree of imagination. We are introduced to her life through the eyes of Peter, an ageing story teller from Limnos, who has made his living re-telling her story to any group who will employ him. This is to be his last time as a storyteller, as he is old and wants to retire to a quiet life on the remote island of Chryse with his goats and sheep for his remaining years.
Peace in These Troubled Times
PEACE IN THESE TROUBLED TIMES I hope that reading this book will give you some inspiration to do some writing yourselves. I have aimed it at people who suffer mental health issues, but I would like to think that anybody, whatever their background, will find it of some interest too. My interest of English fairy folklore and pagan Britain, I find it truly fascinating. Writing this short story have really helped me think about the kind of world and what path I would like to take in the future. A nature based religion is the way forward in my opinion. I would like to think that in the near future, all religions of the world could live in peace as one. There would be no more wars and bloodshed. We would all live in peace. We can only live in hope. Blessed be.

Doable Midsummer Night's Dream
Shakespeare's comedy adapted for modern audiences and actors. The play has been rewritten, although still very much in Shakespeare's style, and true to the magic of his work. Every part is made more exciting, more fun to play.
Magdalene's Mind
After all these years, this provocative story is finally available in print...This play was born in the year 2000. I had no idea back then that this would be the start of a long-term relationship, and extraordinary esoteric experience, with the "spirit" I have come to know as Mary Magdalene. This theatrical writing started my 20-year journey with the Divine Feminine. The script was work-shopped and showcased in New York City in the winter of 2001, months before the 9/11 attack in lower Manhattan. The play was then given a staged reading in Seattle in 2004. There were international requests for permission to perform the play from Russia and Finland. After that, I lost track of this work, and moved deeper into my mission of retrieving the missing goddess. Growing up, I enjoyed reading plays, and was a big fan of Tennessee Williams, Edward Albee, and of course, William Shakespeare. Though the power of a play is in the magic of live theatrical performance, I believe there is value in reading a story in script format, and imagining its possibilities. So, what might it be like for the Magdalene to come alive in our world, in this moment in time? What would she look like, and what would she say? Who is she, this mystical goddess and most legendary Lady?In this recently revised script, Mary Magdalene appears in Central Park and clearly, she's got something to say. As she moves through Manhattan, Mary finds her way into the homes of three very different New Yorkers. So, what could possibly go wrong? Who will she encounter and why has she chosen them? How will they react? Why is a unicorn following Mary? And who does she find upon her return to Central Park?

Fractured Frazzled Folk Fables and Fairy Farces, Part II is adult literature satirizing classic children's stories and the work is written in the spirit of its predecessor Fractured Frazzled Folk Fables and Fairy Farces. Several British legends are re-invented with hilarious adult renditions of St. George Slays the Dragon and Arthur Becomes King of England. Finally Author Jay Dubya presents very amusing renditions of the classic tales Alice Visits Wonderland and Aladdin's Little Lamp. Fractured Frazzled Folk Fables and Fairy Farces, Part II is definitely not written for or to be read by children.
Bhulan Kaanda
There is an accidental killing in a forest-tribal village in Chhattisgarh. The Police Inspector is on his way to investigate. The village-constable, riding on the pillion of the Inspector's motorbike, suddenly cautions him to avoid a particular spot on the path where grows the Bhulan Kaanda, the tuber whose contact, he claims, induces instant amnesia and makes the victim confused regarding the right path, making him go around and round. The accidental killing throws up an existential conflict between the traditional village system of justice and the formal State court of law. The accused, as also the entire village, find themselves making several rounds to the court in the town to resolve a matter that they had smoothly resolved long back. The amnesia-inducing tuber becomes a metaphor for the institutions of the Government. The story, riveting as it unfolds, dramatizes a subject that has been rarely examined: the post-colonial discord in countries like India between the traditional structures of local governance and the State's institutions, inherited from alien rulers of the past. Once you start reading the story, it is hard to put this book down. Later, it lingers in your mind raising important questions begging for answers.Bhulan Kaanda is bound to emerge as a unique novel in Hindi Literature. - Vishnu Khare

The sorceress, Morgana, had won. The death of King Arthur signified the end of Camelot and the age of chivalry casting the world into a dark time where evil had little constraint. Merlin, the magician, had failed in his effort to limit the black magic of the fairy witch and instead found himself captive in the cave of Druid Island where he would linger while the chaos flourished. Years later his wizard son, Thomas, would be given the opportunity to succeed where his father had failed. It was not something he could undertake on his own and, as his father had used the youngster Arthur to further his goals, so Thomas would mentor the young boy, David, knowing that soon he would have to face the evil sorceress. Their quest would take the two on a journey to the strange land of the Fantasian Forest to obtain the Druid's Egg, a gem capable of destroying the witch. But it would be a journey fraught with danger and creatures not known to the modern world. Even if the Egg were to be obtained, it would still be necessary to face the witch and her followers and the wizard was unsure if the boy had the courage to do so.

Feathers will fly. Secrets will sizzle. Snacks are running out. The Birds of Paradise Theater Troupe was ready to dazzle at the fairy wedding of the season-until a villainous Vampire Bat and two sneaky Magpies crashed the Autumn Pumpkin Ball, spiked the punch with Belladonna Brew and vanished into the night with Ember, the Hawaiian Firebird, and Fifi the French Flamingo. Now, with their enchanted food forest mysteriously disappearing and half the birds still dizzy from the brew, the troupe must trade in their costumes for courage and take center stage in a real quest. Led by a brave eagle, a strong but silent owl and a strategic raven who knows more then he's letting on, lead the other birds on a trail of glitter and breadcrumbs through magical mishaps to rescue their friends-and save their forest-before time runs out. When the spotlight fades and you're waiting in the wings, the real adventure begins.
African Folk Tales
The author picked up his love of folk tales from his father and his uncle, Okuma Totokpuiti Gamega. In the evening, the kids and some adults sat in a circle around the storytellers listening to the tales. The audience was alive and active, interjecting short songs, remarks, and dances as the tales progressed. Folk tales are for entertainment. That is why the songs and dances come in. The tellers themselves may sing and dance. The children are allowed to tell their tales. Folk tales also teach lessons in obedience, loyalty, forgiveness, justice, and more. Folk tales encompass oral literature, adages, grammar, and dos and don'ts of the language. The tales are meant to teach the young people the customs and norms of their society. They are different from oral history. Oral histories are more involved and cover the behaviors and experiences of the people. The author's father told these tales with animation, joy, and happiness in three languages: IGO, EWE, and TWI. The tales are universal and can be told in any language. Interpret and propound wisdoms to children and adults in any society. The Western World is aware of the famous African drums, rhythms, and songs. Now the author brings you the unique folk tales. They are not poems to repeat word by word. They are not told the same way twice. The readers can embellish and adjust them to given situations, use them in entertainment, or in expounding moral lessons. Folk tales are for action and are full of active verbs. All the American based tales were originated by the author.About the AuthorKwaku A. Adoboli was originally born in Togo and raised in Ghana, West Africa. Balthazar's Bane
A bungled murder.A ridiculous quest. And a hero with extremely dodgy credentials. New Year's Eve 1889. Count Balthazar Jozsef Habsburg-Koh獺ry tries to lead a simple life. Oh, he enjoys a few hobbies. Collecting ancient Egyptian artifacts. Hunting necromancers with a wire garrote. Impersonating dead Hungarian nobility. Seducing an endless string of women who never suspect the price of the count's attentions. But considering what Balthazar used to be like, these pursuits are harmless. And surely he deserves a reward for assassinating the elusive necromancer John Mortlake in the middle of Cairo's teeming bazaar. What could be better than a holiday cruise up the Nile with his secretary Lucas Devereaux? Unfortunately for Balthazar, he just killed the wrong necromancer - one with a vengeful daughter and huge debts to some very shady jinn. To survive, he and Lucas must find a legendary sword and liberate a desert kingdom of magical misfits. For centuries, the people of Al Miraj have sought a valiant champion willing to face the wrath of the arch demon Fulad-zereh! What they get is Balthazar. But the gods always did like a good joke.

Andrew Lang, (born March 31, 1844, Selkirk, Selkirkshire, Scot.--died July 20, 1912, Banchory, Aberdeenshire), Scottish scholar and man of letters noted for his collections of fairy tales and translations of Homer.Educated at St. Andrews University and at Balliol College, Oxford, he held an open fellowship at Merton College until 1875, when he moved to London. He quickly became famous for his critical articles in The Daily News and other papers. He displayed talent as a poet in Ballads and Lyrics of Old France (1872), Helen of Troy (1882), and Grass of Parnassus (1888) and as a novelist with The Mark of Cain (1886) and The Disentanglers (1902). He earned special praise for his 12-volume collection of fairy tales, the first volume of which was The Blue Fairy Book (1889) and the last The Lilac Fairy Book (1910). His own fairy tales, The Gold of Fairnilee (1888), Prince Prigio (1889), and Prince Ricardo of Pantouflia (1893) became children's classics.Lang also did important pioneer work in such volumes as Custom and Myth (1884) and Myth, Ritual and Religion (1887). Later he turned to history and historical mysteries, notably Pickle the Spy (1897), A History of Scotland from the Roman Occupation, 4 vol. (1900-07), Historical Mysteries (1904), and The Maid of France (1908). His lifelong devotion to Homer produced well-known prose translations of the Odyssey (1879), in collaboration with S.H. Butcher, and of the Iliad (1883), with Walter Leaf and Ernest Myers. He defended the theory of the unity of Homeric literature, and his World of Homer (1910) is an important study. (wikipedia.org)
