The inspiration for this book, 'Uncomplicating Artificial Intelligence: A Book for the Three Human Generations', was born out of family conversations, observing how the different generations managed to deal with technological changes and the speed with which they happened. This same observation was realised when one of the authors took part in courses at the University of California, Berkeley and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT, with colleagues who were relatively accustomed to using new technologies but had very different comprehension skills.
