Fraud Investigators
For many years, I went by the name Antoni Muldoon and worked as a professional con artist. I must have stolen more than 瞿100 million from diligent individuals overall. I lost nearly everything I had accumulated when I was inevitably discovered for my crimes and sent to prison. One thing I kept was my awareness of the various con games that con people out of their money on a regular basis. I made the decision to utilise my knowledge to help others avoid falling for the same kinds of scams that I used to run. I'm calling this series of books on various scams the Scam Busters Series, and this one is the first in the series. Every book will walk you through a distinct fraud, so regardless of whether you have been duped This is the first book in the series, and perhaps you will enjoy it and find it helpful if you have ever fallen into the timeshare trap or are about to fall into it.In the inaugural installment of the Scam Busters series, Antoni Muldoon shares his insider knowledge of timeshare frauds. He makes note of what to watch out for and what not to do. This will come in handy should you ever fall victim to a timeshare scam.

Towards Human Brain Inspired Lifelong Learning
Over the past few decades, the field of machine learning has made remarkable strides, surpassing human performance in tasks like voice and object recognition, as well as mastering various complex games. Despite these accomplishments, a critical challenge remains: the absence of general intelligence. Achieving artificial general intelligence (AGI) requires the development of learning agents that can continually adapt and learn throughout their existence, a concept known as lifelong learning. In contrast to machines, humans possess an extraordinary capacity for continuous learning throughout their lives. Drawing inspiration from human learning, there is immense potential to enable artificial learning agents to learn and adapt continuously. Recent advancements in continual learning research have opened up new avenues to pursue this objective. This book is a comprehensive compilation of diverse methods for continual learning, crafted by leading researchers in the field, along with their practical applications. These methods encompass various approaches, such as adapting existing paradigms like zero-shot learning and Bayesian learning, leveraging the flexibility of network architectures, and employing replay mechanisms to enable learning from streaming data without catastrophic forgetting of previously acquired knowledge. This book is tailored for researchers, practitioners, and PhD scholars working in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It particularly targets those envisioning the implementation of AI solutions in dynamic environments where data continually shifts, leading to challenges in maintaining model performance for streaming data.
A Brief History of Intelligence
This book introduces a variety of intelligence phenomena starting from the birth of the universe, including intelligence in physics, intelligence in chemistry, intelligence in biology, intelligence in humans and intelligence in machines. It uncovers the mystery of intelligence to the world and explores the natural phenomenon of intelligence. If understanding intelligence is regarded as a journey of a thousand miles, then this book is the first step to try. In the process of studying the phenomenon of intelligence and the nature of intelligence, our eyes cannot be limited to human intelligence. Instead, one should put our vision beyond human intelligence, consider different things in the universe, reach a new level, and study and explore the phenomenon of intelligence and the essence of intelligence on a new level.By looking at the various phenomena of intelligence since the birth of the universe, readers can see that intelligence is a natural phenomenon, similar to other naturalphenomena (e.g., the rolling of rocks and the melting of snow and ice). These phenomena occur to facilitate the stability of the universe, and the phenomenon of intelligence is no exception. The book is divided into 10 chapters, covering matter, energy and space in the origin of the universe, gravity in physics, the principle of least action, dissipative structures in chemistry, entropy increase, maximum entropy production, the definition of life, the emergence of life, the intelligence in plants, the intelligence in animals, the neocortex structure of the brain, the special thinking of human beings, the theory of the brain, artificial intelligence symbolism, connectionism, behaviorism, artificial general intelligence, metaverse, etc. This book can be used as a reference for students and researchers working in the artificial intelligence areas. It is also positioned as a popular science book interested in intelligent phenomena.

Transhuman Acculturation
The process of Singularity or Transhumanism - our merging with machine mind, brilliantly described by Ray Kurzweil, has generated a new culture of life-TRANS-HUMAN ACCULTURATION!It is the core of our evolutionary development now, and Dr. Ray sees it as her lifemission to make it holistically informational, scientifically adaptable, and psychologically inspirational for the young minds of the world, especially those that design life-like humanized beings.Viewing this transformation in the holistic paradigm ( physical + emotional + mental +spiritual +universal dimensions), the book "Transhuman Acculturation" explores the spiritual realm of life, advocating for RELIGION + SCIENCE digitized integration. The KNOW-HOW of the book seeks to bridge the gap between rational, AI enhanced life exploration and spiritual understanding of its essence that we are probing digitally now, fostering a holistic perspective that enriches our life on Earth. Our transhuman transformation is anamazing opportunity to "install" the digital "ANTENNAS" in our heads that will work as our spiritual receptors. They will help connect our hearts and minds and establish SOUL-SYMMETRY by uniting the physical form and the spiritual content of our life in a new fractal formation, connecting us to Super Consciousness that we all perceive as God.(Body+ Spirit+ Mind) + (Self-Consciousness + Super-Consciousness) =A Whole, Intellectually Spiritualized You!

The Software Engineer's Guidebook
In my first few years as a developer I assumed that hard work was all I needed. Then I was passed over for a promotion and my manager couldn't give me feedback on what areas to improve, so I could get to the senior engineer level. I was frustrated; even bitter: not as much about missing the promotion, but because of the lack of guidance.By the time I became a manager, I was determined to support engineers reporting to me with the kind of feedback and support I wish I would have gotten years earlier. And I did. While my team tripled over the next two years, people became visibly better engineers, and this progression was clear from performance reviews and promotions. This book is a summary of the advice I've given to software engineers over the years - and then some more. This book follows the structure of a "typical" career path for a software engineer, from starting out as a fresh-faced software developer, through being a role model senior/lead, all the way to the staff/principle/distinguished level. It summarizes what I've learned as a developer and how I've approached coaching engineers at different stages of their careers. We cover "soft" skills which become increasingly important as your seniority increases, and the "hard" parts of the job, like software engineering concepts and approaches which help you grow professionally. The names of levels and their expectations can - and do! - vary across companies. The higher "tier" a business is, the more tends to be expected of engineers, compared to lower tier places. For example, the "senior engineer" level has notoriously high expectations at Google (L5 level) and Meta (E5 level, ) compared to lower-tier companies. If you work at a higher-tier business, it may be useful to read the chapters about higher levels, and not only the level you're currently interested in.The book is composed of six standalone parts, each made up of several chapters: Part 1: Developer Career FundamentalsPart 2: The Competent Software DeveloperPart 3: The Well-Rounded Senior EngineerPart 4: The Pragmatic Tech LeadPart 5: Role Model Staff and Principal EngineersPart 6: ConclusionParts 1 and 6 apply to all engineering levels, from entry-level software developer, to principal-and-above engineer. Parts 2, 3, 4, and 5 cover increasingly senior engineering levels and group together topics in chapters, such as "Software Engineering," "Collaboration," "Getting Things Done," etc.Naming and levels vary, but the principles of what makes a great engineer who is impactful at the individual, team, and organizational levels, are remarkably constant. No matter where you are in your career, I hope this book provides a fresh perspective and new ideas on how to grow as an engineer.Praise for the book"From performance reviews to P95 latency, from team dynamics to testing, Gergely demystifies all aspects of a software career. This book is well named: it really does feel like the missing guidebook for the whole industry."- Tanya Reilly, senior principal engineer and author of The Staff Engineer's Path"Spanning a huge range of topics from technical to social in a concise manner, this belongs on the desk of any software engineer looking to grow their impact and their career. You'll reach for it again and again for sage advice in any situation."- James Stanier, Director of Engineering at Shopify, author of TheEngineeringManager.com
