Ingram 出版
2022/01/13 出版

Young author, Garett Sharp, delivers a raw take on heartbreak and mental illness in his newest collection of illustrated poetry + prose. In this undoubtedly emotional collection from the inside of Garett Sharp's mind, readers are taken along on a journey filled with heartbreak, self-loathing, mental health issues, self-reflection, as well as finding the key to self-acceptance. As the author grows, he learns to acknowledge his life decisions, what it's like to live with mental illness, how to cope with heartbreak and devastating loss, and find the strength of mending the wounds from within. Heal My Wounds is by far the largest, most impactful collection written by Garett. The poems range from sadness, rage, and pain to hopeful sources of light and finding peace.

Gitanjali

Ingram 出版
2022/01/05 出版

Every soul longs for a communion with the ultimate truth and when this longing takes the form of vehement devotion, what comes out of it is a soulful melody of endless songs. The depth of love and devotion, Tagore has for the divine, is poured into Gitanjali, which is a prayer for the ennoblement of humanity. The central theme of Gitanjali is devotion, and its motto is 'I am here to sing thee songs' (No. XV). Gitanjali is sometimes compared to the Book of Psalms and explores the personal relationship between the poet and divinity. The manner of singing God's praises, the willingness to selfless surrender and exhortations to fellow human beings for shunning worldly desires, are sub-themes of these songs. Tagore's language is neither complicated nor rife with allusions or marred with the figurative or metaphorical use of words or expressions. The simplicity of old English and minimal linguistic variations contribute towards the wide readership of Gitanjali, and it is, precisely, what you need to revive your spirit and get you closer to yourself.

Children of the Reverie Hour II

Ingram 出版
2022/01/05 出版

"Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle," ( 2 Thessalonians 2:15). Throughout history, in every story, each hero has a quest and that quest begins with a want for better or just the hero being completely lost after something shaking has occurred. In the essence of it all, they find themselves. They find this greater, stronger person they never knew they were and when that happens they are faced with a new villain, worse than their first adversary, but the journey has molded and formed them to be strong enough to defeat this villain. If you think of your life, your wins and loses. They're not really losses, they are just pieces of training. When you win, you only smile when you have defeated the villain. God must send us all on that very same journey that David had to go on. From zealous, to broken, to king. If you are going to rule someday, then God knows you have to be trained mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. You have to be controlled, not easily shaken by a tiny change in the tides. If a tide goes one way, your ship goes that way too, even if it means destruction. No. God doesn't want you to be a ruler like that. And if taking you through this cave, dragging you around this bend, forcing you to stare your fears in the face, then He will do it.Along this quest, though He will be there and at times He might pretend to leave you just to see if you will be faithful. You will want to break. Want to split and do all the above but keep going because of your frustration, but there is always God still there reminding you of those who came before, who are still cheering for you when Satan is in your ear telling you to end it here and now, knowing that if he can get you to do that, you will be one less person he has to worry about. Through your tears, crying, and screaming, knowing that you could end it all here and now is anything in this world really worth that much, when it shall all pass away in a blink of an eye? Should you compromise your destiny for something that won't even have value in another few years? All good things must come to an end and that is a guarantee because God knows if you became too comfortable in this life you wouldn't care about the afterlife with Him. You wouldn't care to always keep moving and you would become sanitary and dirty like ponds and God doesn't need a pond for his spirit to dwell in but a forever moving river. By the end of this life, you will be a river, flowing like the Amazon River with life and giving life.

Honey & Lily

R L,Rahamim  著
Lulu.com 出版
2021/12/01 出版

This is a children's story about Us through the eyes of a jar of honey and a beautiful peace lily. This is part of the Ode to We project where we transcend beyond me or you to the "us" of things. This deals with questions of heaven and origin through the personalities of honey, literally a jar of honey, and lily, a peace lily. They get to know each other and, if we notice, during their conversation, there is a little bee that brings them both together. Hint: The bee is kind of the point of the whole thing. This story is dedicated to all those moments where we meet new people and find ways to relate to each other, to connect, and, maybe, to love in ordinary ways that maybe no one will ever witness. Luckily, we get to be witnesses of this interaction! Honey and Lily have given permission for the use of their story.

God Colored Me Black

Evaughn,High  著
AuthorHouse 出版
2021/11/16 出版

God Colored Me Black is poetry. I desire parents, teachers, aunts, and uncles to memorize it with young children to promote high self-esteem. Growing up in the south, family and friends would tease me about the color of my skin. For some reason, God never allowed me to develop a low self-image. Being darker has been one of my greatest strengths. I chuckle, just thinking about the beauty of my skin. This book will enhance short-sighted parents, siblings as well as individuals of other races. Our complexions are the decision of our creator. We must be grateful for his divine plan. Being Black is so fantastic, and knowing what I know about its dominance helps me understand that God makes no mistakes. I appreciate the opportunity to share this unique content with children who need to know how beautiful they are inside and out.

Chosen

Ingram 出版
2021/11/11 出版

In life, we face certain circumstances that can be so overwhelming there seems to be no hope. We all may face betrayal even by our own blood, such as the lack of love and validation on this earth, which can put us in a dark place. But with Christ in our hearts, we find hope that no matter what we go through, we can do all things through him. The poems included in this book are filled with the hope we find in Jesus Christ. The author describes how God took her out of two very abusive relationships--an abusive relationship with her mother and an abusive marriage. Some of the poems just express a romantic side, like her conversations with the Lord. God's love can transform us in a way that we could never imagine. Through Jesus Christ, we find who lives within us and the person whom God created us to be. She hopes that by reading this, you, too, can find that hidden treasure God put inside of you.The cover and images of this work was painted by the artist: Maribel JuarezIG: mari.bellarte012mmamcd4@yahoo.comLove never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.--1 Corinthians 13:7 (NLT)

Cultivating silliness and creativity is excellent for everyone, so dig into Cockleshell Cackles, a poetry collection filled with humor, real life experiences, and nursery rhyme goofiness. In the first section, "Garden of Giggles," author Mary Don Beachy has planted poems based on life experiences relatable to any child, like snoring relatives, sports mistakes, and dealing with a younger sibling. In the second section, "Contrary Nursery Rhymes," familiar nursey rhymes have been uprooted and trampled on a bit to make them modern and even more fun. Finally, in section three, "Budding Poet Workspace," poems have beginnings, but the endings are up to you. Get ready to laugh, learn, and embrace your inner artist in a collection that is sure to please both parents and children alike.
