Connected for All Time (Book 1)
Connected for All Time: Book One is a book about deep soul love, the power of connection, the interconnectedness of all beings (those in the physical world and those in the spiritual world), and the indomitable human spirit that has the resiliency to rise from the ashes of grief like a phoenix and soar into the higher vibrations where our deceased loved ones forever reside, awaiting our awakening to their presence. This book gives voice to the tiniest of unheard voices-the spirits of infants who have transitioned due to miscarriage, stillbirth, and newborn death. The spiritual wisdom they share in this collection of true stories is meant to open the minds and hearts of the readers so they can find a spiritual solution to grief after infant loss. With the assistance of the spirit babies, Dr. Wesch offers new choices, new understandings, and renewed hope for healing what is often called "the pain that never goes away." Using joyful, uplifting stories, she shows the reader that it is possible for grieving family members to first shift to a spiritual perspective and then completely free themselves from suffering and transform their grief into joy. This radical new message is the heart of this groundbreaking book.
My Father's Servant Heart; Mi Padre, Su Amor
This memoir describes the lives of a loving Catholic couple who persevered through poverty, illness and bigotry due to their undying faith in God. This story covers Ignacio T Mart穩nez life's journey from childhood to death with God shadowing his every move. He was raised in a very traditional Catholic family of 10 during the early 1900's. He was educated in school until discrimination denied him a high school education. This memoir includes his eventual move to San Antonio after marrying Catalina Campos and raising 10 children. He sacrificed so many luxuries in order to be his family's hero by taking in relatives who were in need of respite. He conquered serious illnesses with prayer and became his father's caregiver while raising his own family in the 1950's. As you read this story, may the Holy Spirit open your eyes to God's miracles. Maria Henrietta (Enriqueta) Mart穩nez Hughes is one of the middle children of Deacon Ignacio and Catalina Mart穩nez and she still resides in the San Antonio area. She is married to Steven W. Hughes and together they have two adult sons, Adam Steven and Lucas Daniel. She was a contributing editor in high school for their newspaper and aspired to be a writer. She has been active at her parish, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Boerne, Texas since 1997. Like her father she was a member of St. Vincent de Paul and was a Bible Facilitator. After completing her 2 year certification in Ministry from Oblate School of Theology she taught middle school Faith Formation. She gave confirmation preparation classes at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in 1997-1999. She attended St. Teresa's Academy, San Antonio College and Our Lady of the Lake University and she received her certification as a Certified Property Manager (CPM). Her career in property management extended to Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Texas. Her inspiration to write this book and share her experiences came from her father and mother, who were affectionately known by their grandchildren; and many others, as Papo and Granny.

Sexual Abuse and the Rights of Children
The sexual abuse of children is an area of increasing concern to social services agencies, lawmakers, and the general public. Recent reforms of the legislation in this area have been influenced by the emerging field of children's rights. Terrence Sullivan takes a critical look at the reforms and raises provocative questions about who is empowered by developments and who is not.The Canadian constitution potentially offers an important vehicle in advancing individuals rights. Sullivan reviews the emergence of child abuse and child sexual abuse as a 'new' object of social inquiry and regulation within the context of childhood sexuality, which has historically been subject to extensive regulation in the hand of professionals. He explores the rise of child sexual vulnerability on the public agenda, and tracks the role and influence of specialized professional knowledge in stimulating and steering legislative reform.Sullivan concludes that court decisions and legislative reforms of recent years seem to reduce the authority of parents in favour of helping professionals. This trend, he argues, signals both a reduction of paternalistic authority within the family and a retreat to the arms of strangers - professionals who expand their influence and authority through state-sanctioned and state-compensated activity centered on children families. He argues for a more democratic law reform process which is not discussed solely through the indeterminate language of children's rights, but rather with the direct input of young persons and their families.
Family Violence and the Women's Movement
Feminists have always perceived wife abuse as just one of many manifestations of the unequal division of power between men and women. But as public awareness of the issue grew, government agencies began to take the issue over. They redefined wife-battering as a social problem for which professional and legislative responses were appropriate solutions. They ignored its connection to more fundamental questions of male power.Gillian Walker systematically and empirically examines the process by which the issue of wife-battering was taken away from feminists and the women being abused. She has combined her own first-hand experiences as a feminist activist with a careful analysis of documents and with interviews of participants in various federal and provincial conferences and hearings. From this she shows how the experience of wife abuse became defined as part of the broader issue of family violence. The women who together started and shaped the transition-house movement today find their status changed. They are directed away from political action. Instead they are expected only to provide services in crisis shelters, increasingly monitored and under-funded, part of a broader network of services to 'troubled families.' Meanwhile, society fails to address the question of gender inequality as the root cause of wife-battering.Walker's analysis of the conceptual processes involved in naming an 'issue' and defining a 'social problem' offers insights into the politics of social action generally. It speaks to the struggles of all grassroots activists.

Murderous Hugs
Delphine was 4 years old when her hell began."We always promised each other, my Mom and I, that we would not talk about it anymore, that it was over. Except that after this promise, which I never broke, I had many bad times to go through. I was always trying to find out why I felt so bad about myself, why the fear of dying came over me again, as in childhood. I gradually became aware that this feeling of uneasiness probably came from the drifting in and out of hospitals that I had experienced from a very young age, from the way my mother manipulated me, from all this sadness, and these fears, all these emotions had been so well repressed for years. My mind doesn't want to remember but my body hasn't forgotten anything and was letting me know." Munchhausen syndrome by proxy is a severe form of child abuse in which the adult caregiver deliberately causes serious and repeated health problems in the child before taking the child to a doctor. Afterword by Dr. St矇phanie Dauver, child psychiatrist, who wrote her thesis on Munchhausen syndrome by proxy.

The Physiology Of Marriage; Or, The Musings Of An Eclectic Philosopher On The Happiness And Unhappiness Of Married Life
Honore de Balzac wrote a satirical book titled "The Physiology of Marriage," which was originally published in 1829. The book is a lighthearted investigation of the institution of marriage as well as the interactions between men and women in 19th-century French society. The book is organized as a collection of pieces written by an unidentified narrator who provides commentary and advice on many facets of married life. The narrator explores the difficulties and inconsistencies of marriage as well as the disparities between men and women in terms of their wishes and expectations using comedy and wit. Balzac explores the social and cultural influences that define the institution of marriage via his humorous and perceptive insights. He criticizes the patriarchal framework of society and the conventional gender stereotypes that cast women in inferior positions. The stinging social critique "The Physiology of Marriage" questions the dominant beliefs and ideals of 19th-century French society. This work is a timeless examination of the complexity of human relationships, with insights that are still applicable to readers today, thanks to Balzac's humorous and caustic style.

The Journey's End
In the tradition of Atul Gawande's Being Mortal, this compassionate work helps individuals develop a more accepting view of dying while teaching them what to expect and how to navigate the healthcare system at the end of life.In elderhood, the health care system has a narrow view of how to provide care. It focuses on extending a patient's life at all costs, with an over-reliance on machines and procedures, instead of caring holistically for the person. Accordingly, many of us will likely spend our final weeks in long-term care facilities or an ICU. Dying at home, peacefully, and surrounded by family is almost impossible in our world--and our fear of death is a major contributor to this impossibility. Fittingly, the central idea of this book is that in old age, or when facing a terminal diagnosis, it is more important to understand your life rather than to extend it. While this may seem simple, its implications are profound.A natural death means accepting that, at some point, we are old enough or sick enough to die. In our cynical and overly clinical age, it is difficult to reflect on the meaning of one's life, but that kind of honest introspection is exactly what we need. Accordingly, The Journey's End seeks to help people manage their healthcare, their expectations, and their decisions in the final phase of life.

I saw God's provision in the midst of lack. This is my testimony of how if you allow God, He can take your brokenness and bitterness and give you beauty for ashes. A Bridge Between
Lyndon Stimeling's thoughts and articles on faith and religion, have appeared within his previously published books and several newspapers. In the time I have known him, Lyn has offered his insights and wisdom on a variety of publication efforts. He is talented and humble, with a strong and important message to deliver in today's world. As an editor, I have read many of Lyn's articles for the religion page. He has a deep knowledge of Scripture and his interpretations are sharp and relevant. I am sure the same is true of his latest offering. - Tom Laub, Lifestyles editor, Lewistown Sentinel. The Cries of A Divorced Pastor
What do you do when you determine that a scream, a holler, or a church shake won't break the grip of guilt and shame off you? Here's one man's answer in "The Cries of a Divorced Pastor" - Victor L. Powell's transparent journey through his own pain and guilt, shame and disappointment, processed through intimate conversations with God. Public figures often appear to be public successes, while their private lives are secret failures. The secular and church worlds prescribe to an image of perfection, forcing people in positions of power to suffer in silence. Powell made personal, painful, and risky decisions accompanied by criticism, condemnation, and consequences. You will discover that as he embraced his connection with God through conversations, his cries turned from shame to forgiveness and restoration, proof that God can talk you through it all.
Inspired Forgiveness
In this latest book, Karlene expands on her relationship with the Lord as she chronicles her childhood in Jamaica, meeting her mother and family for the first time in the UK, and challenges in Education, marriage, motherhood, and parenting. Her life has had its ups and downs, positives and negatives, challenges and triumphs. Through it all, she has clung to her Faith. In writing this autobiography, Karlene has had to go back and remember events, incidents, comments, and remarks made throughout her life. A journey in itself that results in reliving and revisiting trauma. Delving into hidden secrets not shared with anyone before. Dredging up painful memories, experiencing the pain and hurt and deciding what to do with it.Karlene has chosen forgiveness. In this autobiography, Karlene reflects on the power of forgiveness as an act of love which sets us free and gives us peace. Forgiveness is a conscious decision to stop blaming, punishing or being angry with someone for something they have said or done to us. Not only do we need to use our mouths to say we forgive, but we must use our hearts to ensure that we extricate all grudges and bitterness from within--We can let go. We acknowledge the hurt and move on. By forgiving others, we forgive ourselves.

Eva
Eva is a woman of Italian origins. For working reasons she travels between Milan, Turin and Rome, and lives a life full of affection, love, inspirations but also violence and serious problems. From a disastrous marriage she has her wonderful children, and from the rubble of her union Eva is able to rebuild a life, first of all for herself, for her children, and then for the people she loves. Suddenly, an extraordinary transcendent gift transfigures her life: visions, premonitions, sensations, out-of-body encounters become parts of her everyday life. From this situation she draws strength, love for herself and for others, to whom she gives freely whatever her talents indicate to do for the best of humanity. A direct and passionate book for all those who believe that life has an end, those without hope, those abandoning their personal struggle: Eva wants to convey a simple message by referring to Marlo Thomas's children's song "Free to be you and me". Free to be and to simply live without violence, malice, suffering, war, diversity, discrimination, everything that divides the great community we all live in, what we usually call World. These are two quotes by Nelson Mandela that for Eva are of great inspiration: "Your freedom and mine cannot be divided. You cannot divide freedom." "A good mind and a good heart are a formidable combination." Eva has always been convinced that these two combinations, intelligence, mind, thinking, working on oneself and a good heart show things from a different perspective and, if used, can change the world without limiting other people's freedom. We can and we must go forward: but only for Love.

Love
This is a book about Love, in both its negative and positive lights, such as: the love of parents and family, the love of riches and materialism, including the love of patriotism and even unemployment. But also a unique viewpoint from which we can be open together and discuss many random and even uncomfortable topics; allowing God to bring us to the right conclusions about this immensely vast topic.
