Journey to and through the Second Death
Journey to and Through the Second Death begins the study where it should-with the first death. Bible believers hold widely diverse opinions on the first death, so a solid biblical definition of death is established before addressing the second death. Technical issues are explained in everyday language. This study has two goals. First, it seeks to bring many unanswered and shadowy questions from the back of the mind into open discussion and resolution: Where are the dead? Are they conscious? Is the second death a repetition of the first? Is the lake of fire literal fire? Can spiritual beings be tormented by literal fire? Why is the lake of fire not called the second death until the Great White Throne judgment? The second goal is to bring the reader to the apostle John's perspective. What did John see, and what do the things he saw mean?Phil Scranton is a graduate of Mid-Continent University in Biblical Studies and pursued graduate work in Biblical Languages. He has served as pastor of two churches and has written numerous magazine articles, especially in the area of Old Testament studies.
God is Calling YOU!
Do you ever feel like you are "just ordinary"--that God would never use you? This book looks at the lives of ordinary people whose meetings with Jesus shared a common experience--a brief but life-changing encounter with Jesus. Jesus reached out to each individual and caused a change so dramatic that their lives were never the same. Today we still hunger for that personal experience. We long for unquestionable and complete love. It is that need that draws us toward "strange gods", towards crystals or fortune tellers, towards alcohol or drugs, even towards unhealthy relationships. This longing is a basic part of our humanity and only God can fulfill need. People need to know that God is there for them, not in the abstract but in reality. His desire is to have a personal relationship with everyone. In every Biblically recorded encounter between God and us, God approached the individual on their own turf and the encounter was always initiated by God, to the surprise of the individual. The setting was always in the person's familiar surroundings and "out of the blue." This was also the way Jesus came into people's lives. Once Jesus touches our heart, our lives are forever changed and new directions become a necessity. Also published in large print. For other great books that you might be interested in, please go to: www.storiesforpublication.com

Plot your life
This notebook is made with the intention of writing all those thoughts in flow; everything that comes up, write it down and reflect back on it. I set the intention for this book to give good vibes to everything written down, whether it's manifestations, thoughts, past experiences (for example, for shadow work), or anything else. Those pages will absorb the vibes of your words and transform them into something incredibly positive (see the last page for more information). Use it intentionally. Elisa Marie

Whole People in a Broken World
According to Norbert Rigali, SJ, moral theology and pastoral practice are in a complementary relationship of mutual correlation rather than in polar opposition. Jeremiah McCarthy's distinctive contribution is the recovery of a deeper strand in the Church's tradition, reconnecting moral action to the spirituality of a moral character formed in the image and likeness of Christ.Endorsements"Building upon a lifetime of research, writing, teaching, and ethical consultations, Msgr. Jeremiah McCarthy has produced a work that gives the reader a timely and invigorating understanding of Catholic ethics. In ways that will intrigue the new student of ethics as well as the veteran theologian, Whole People in a Broken World provides powerful insights and help in grappling with the complex ethical issues of the day. A truly great read!"--Most Rev. Edward J. Weisenburger, Archbishop of Detroit"In a work that spans from the ancient church to Pope Francis, McCarthy enlivens the heart and inspiration of Catholic moral theology: mercy and compassion flowing forth in Christ-like connection to others, in the face of all difficulty and suffering. McCarthy's interpretation of where moral theology has been and where it is now is both erudite and pastoral, never losing sight of its accountability to 'real life.'"--Lisa Sowle Cahill, J. Donald Monan, SJ, Professor of Theology, Boston College"In Whole People in a Broken World, Jeremiah McCarthy provides the philosophical and theological underpinnings of Pope Francis's understanding of the role of mercy in the Church's pastoral and missionary outreach. If Jesus is the face of the Father's mercy, then his disciples are called to extend that mercy to others. They are strangers in a foreign land, a whole people living in a broken world. I recommend this book to anyone interested in understanding how the ethics of mercy and Christian spirituality come together in the field hospital of Christ's Body, the Church."--Dennis J. Billy, CSsR, professor emeritus, The Alphonsian Academy of Rome's Pontifical Lateran UniversityMsgr. Mystics of the Renaissance and their relation to modern thought
In this work, Rudolf Steiner examines the lives and teachings of Meister Eckhart, Johannes Tauler, Paracelsus, Johannes Ruysbroeck, Jacob Boehme, Giordano Bruno, and others-spiritual free thinkers whose experiences transcended their time and anticipated the soul's quest for meaning in the modern age.Rather than treating mysticism as mere religious sentiment, Steiner reveals how these individuals cultivated a living relationship with the spiritual world-one that speaks directly to the deeper impulses behind philosophy, science, and personal transformation. By drawing connections between Renaissance mysticism and contemporary consciousness, Steiner encourages readers to rediscover the spiritual heritage of Europe as a vital resource for addressing today's internal and external challenges. This book is both as a tribute to the past and an invitation to awaken the spiritual capacities inherent in every individual. It is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in understanding the profound influences of Christian mysticism, Western esotericism, and the evolution of human consciousness.Excerpts: "Only he who knows the Spirit, in the sense of true Mysticism, can attain a full understanding of the facts of Nature""All these thinkers have in common a strong sense of the fact that in man's knowing of himself there rises a sun which illuminates something very different from the mere accidental, separated personality of the beholder.""It was clear to them that self-knowledge in its true form enriched man with a new sense, which unlocked for him a world standing in relation to the world accessible to him without this new sense as does the world of one possessing physical sight to that of a blind man." "For one who looks thus upon the inner life of man, it is also obvious what is the meaning of human cognition within the whole world-process."

This Princess
These poems are reflections of my soul as the metamorphose takes place in the chapters of my life. I have layers of pulling off and putting on to do. The Radiance of God
Every day our brain is inserted with thousands of new and pertinent data. One of the categories of data is our concept of God. This concept of God recorded in our youth is now being crowded into a smaller and smaller proportion of what is logged. While many bits of information get lost or lose their prominence, our concept of God lingers on, but gets challenged. It continues to shine through as "spiritual". This booklet explains how and why this spiritual component gets brighter through consecutive generations.
Unmasking the Angel
This book explores the concept of an "angel of the church." It begins with the question that so intrigued Walter Wink: Why would Jesus ask John to write to an angel in Revelation 2-3? This work develops, critiques, and expands Wink's answer. It does so by taking the historical records of three churches in England's West Country and bringing them into conversation with Wink's understanding of the angel of the church. It then goes further by introducing Wink's work to specialists in fields that include architecture, demographics, and church polity. This scholarly conversation creates a matrix within which ministers with pastoral charge might be equipped to explore the spiritual identity (or angel) of their own congregations.
