Rugby Gave Me Hope

Ingram 出版
2022/02/18 出版

Rugby Gave Me Hope by Rick KirklandThis isn't just a story about rugby - it's a reflection of life, growth, and the unexpected places where purpose shows up. Rugby Gave Me Hope is part memoir, part meditation, and part love letter to the game that became a bridge between worlds.Through the rhythm of the sport and the lessons learned on and off the field, Rick shares glimpses of his upbringing and his journey of discovering hope in unexpected places. But the heart of this book lies in his time working with inner-city youth - kids who had never heard of rugby, yet found in it a sense of belonging, teamwork, and pride. This book isn't written to convince you of anything. It's a piece of art - an offering - about connection, healing, and the quiet ways passion can ripple through communities.

Directory of Autism Resources for Tucson, AZ

Lulu.com 出版
2022/02/16 出版

This book was created out of a measure of selfishness. I have an autistic son and worry about his future regularly. I needed some type of document that listed all of the available community resources for him to give me some sort of peace. I am glad to report that this book worked regarding that goal. After reading this book, I believe families affected by Autism in Tucson, AZ will feel as I do now, that they are not alone in their attempts at treatment and preparing their child for the future. This book was written as a directory of resources only and does not describe the resource in detail. I will leave that up to the website of the mentioned company or by a representative of the company with a phone call. Dow Creative Enterprises plans to produce an updated version of this book every year. You can get a free version of this as an eBook on www.Lulu.com. The paperback version of this book will be sold as cheap as possible on Lulu.com. Be empowered.

Many kids who are labeled with this disorder may be suffering from other issues such as anxiety, depression, and poor social skills. After having your child diagnosed with ADHD, you do what most parents do: you try everything in your power to improve your kid's grades. You try to get them in sports, take them to tutoring classes, and get them involved with music, theater, and art. You find a tutor or a tutor to help your kid learn. You try to get them into a special education class. You buy a tutor for your kid. You buy an expensive program for your kid. You get them tested at every opportunity for every learning disability, developmental disorder, and mental illness.

Loving Better

Ingram 出版
2022/02/14 出版

Love has the potential to heal a broken society. Love has the power to save a wandering life. Love has the ingredients to cure deep wounds and hurts. Love can cause the trajectory of people's lives to shift dramatically. In fact, love is higher than all acts of given and receiving because love is embracing the nature of God so there is no motive behind the expression. It is living and exuding love towards all! This book has been written to help you generate the passion to love from the depth of your heart. It is my earnest desire that it serve as a blueprint - a help guide in reorganizing your life. As you go through every page, may your life become engulfed with the compassion to forgive others and to love even those who have offended or done you wrong.Love is not a product of human ingenuity but a divine life - a higher standard of exchange between people. To indicate that love does carry equal weight with our feelings, a commandment is rule of law that must be followed. We are finding it more difficult today to love because we have followed our feelings instead of loving and the end result is a society filled with hate and self-satisfaction. From the biblical records of extraordinary sacrifices, love has always been selfless rather than selfish.

Sex in the Seminary

Ingram 出版
2022/02/13 出版

The dating scene is baptism by fire for seminarians on the spiritual path to becoming clergy. Seminarians are allowed to date and marry-something that many find bewildering and sometimes hellish while attempting to answer "the call" to ministry while navigating today's dating scene to find true love. Sex in the Seminary is based on author Ameila Strang's own experience as a single seminarian. During her years of theological study, she made friends with students who refrained from dating while attending school. Ameila did not exercise such self-discipline. She and others like her rebuked the ideology that women were not allowed to be sexual goddesses who wore red lipstick and matching high heels while preaching in the pulpit on Sunday. In the pages of this book, find a zany collection of kind-of-sort-of true dating stories "inspired" by real-life seminarians, shared in the form of diary entries. The purpose of this book is not to alter the interpretation of biblical scripture in any way. Ameila merely seeks to provide insight into seminarians trying to find love in a space where physical and spiritual worlds oftentimes collide.

Joy Beyond The Walls Of This World

Ingram 出版
2022/02/13 出版

Society is changing rapidly. This is a book about men. It is also about women. It's about crises in human life. Economic and social pressures have never been as vast. We all live in confusion, in ego-based defenses. We all need to be loved. Love knows no sexual, racial, political, religious, or anything else. Women and men are having a difficult time understanding each other. The gender crisis can become an opportunity for men and women to discover their true selves. We need to reach our human potential. Every child of God has been imbued and reflects how that potential has waxed and waned throughout history. The soul exists irrespective of its human form. Each gender has an inner essence. It is the will of God that we allow masculine and feminine free expression. Our current gender crisis curtails our potential as joyful partners. We have lost sight of this truth. Our joint vision quest moves beyond constrictive gender forms. This crisis has gone on too long and we must create new visions.

In a world that can feel shaky and uncertain at times, one fact holds true: nobody gets anywhere alone. Susan L. Combs has learned that lesson many times over, and she's held onto the advice that has guided her on her journey-one that's taken her from a tiny town in Missouri to the hustle of New York City. She's faced immense grief and fostered immense growth, personally and professionally. Through it all, she leaned on guidance from mentors in her life. One of those key mentors was her father, Roger. He wore many hats: as a judge, a veteran and Two-Star Major General, a leader in his community, a loving husband . . . and, as we learn in this book, one hell of a dad. Though he passed away in 2018, his legacy lives on in Pancakes for Roger and beyond, as a portion of the proceeds from this book benefits the University of Missouri School of Law Veterans Clinic in his honor. Imagining Futures

Carola,Lentz  著
Ingram 出版
2022/02/11 出版

What keeps a family together? In Imagining Futures, authors Carola Lentz and Isidore Lobnibe offer a unique look at one extended African family, currently comprising over five hundred members in Northern Ghana and Burkina Faso.Members of this extended family, like many others in the region, find themselves living increasingly farther apart and working in diverse occupations ranging from religious clergy and civil service to farming. What keeps them together as a family? In their groundbreaking work, Lentz and Lobnibe argue that shared memories, rather than only material interests, bind a family together.Imagining Futures explores the changing practices of remembering in an African family and offers a unique contribution to the growing field of memory studies, beyond the usual focus of Europe and America. Lentz and Lobnibe explore how, in an increasingly globalized, postcolonial world, memories themselves are not static accounts of past events but are actually malleable and shaped by both current concerns and imagined futures.

Breaking Free Through Poetry

Leanna,Smith  著
Ingram 出版
2022/02/08 出版

Before she began writing poetry, author Leanna Smith had no way of getting her emotions out. With the guidance of an inspiring high school teacher, she found a new way of expressing herself. Through the highs and lows of her life, she continued to write, building a collection of verses that serve as a vivid display of sadness and passion. Breaking Free through Poetry presents a compilation of love, loss, tears, happiness, joy, and sadness spanning thirty-one tumultuous years. Every poem she wrote was a lesson that she needed to learn about a situation she had to experience in order to grow. This poetry collection, written over the course of more than thirty years, shares the thoughts, feelings, and stories of one woman's life. Dreams Die I once dreamed that you and I We'd come together like earth and sky, But as you know dreams, they die Without a doubt without a sigh I wish I was too strong to cry But this dream left tears in my eyes And of course, I'll still try Because I'll love her live or die.

Buddhism for Mothers of Schoolchildren

Ingram 出版
2022/02/08 出版

With her children at school, a mother is on to a new stage of her life, playing a new role. The daily challenges she confronts have changed, yet for each one Buddhist teachings of mindfulness, compassion and calm are invaluable. This book explores those teachings through many scenarios, including managing the stress of numerous deadlines, coping with routine and repetition, answering children's tricky questions about how the world works, fitting in with other parents, managing our fears and expectations for our children, and dealing with difficult behaviours in both children and adults. In her usual warm, wise, inclusive and accessible style, Sarah also suggests ways to share Buddhist teachings with children so they maintain a connection to their own inner wisdom rather than reacting to peers and the media. Within this book, mothers will find the inspiration to be more patient, loving and attentive towards their children, other family members, other parents, but most of all, themselves. WC Sarah Napthali is a mother of two young boys who strives to apply Buddhist teachings in her daily life. She is the author of Buddhism for Mothers, which has sold 60,000 copies around the world and been translated into nine languages to date, and Buddhism for Mothers of Young Children (formerly published under the title Buddhism for Mothers with Lingering Questions). Since the children started school, Sarah is very pleased to report that she manages to meditate (almost) daily.

Camdan Taylor has no idea what is ahead when she marries Mark Kincade. She just wants to be married and have a family, even justifying leaving her Christian beliefs behind. Sadly, it does not take long for reality to show her Mark's love for money and his lifestyle, leaving her alone and ignored by his family. Through a series of events, she finds out he had a son before they were married. The child was terminally ill, and Mark signed away his rights at the hospital. He never told her, even though he knew she wanted a baby desperately. As the real Mark became more real, Camdan sets out on a quest to find the child. It is during all this that she finds her way back to the Lord and seeks ways to serve God, not herself. After almost dying, Camdan starts to heal and is looking forward to getting back to normal when there is a tragic accident involving her best friend's wife. However, as the police investigate, they find she was not the intended target, and Mark is just one of the prime suspects. Again throwing her world in a different direction, she starts trying to help and move forward but not knowing what to expect next.

Raising Frankie

Ingram 出版
2022/02/08 出版

As a college student, he was blessed to become a student intern in the Information Technology (IT) department where he continued to increase his computer skills as a part-time computer lab assistant and a computer troubleshooter. These roles pushed his skilled to a brand-new level. "After the internship was over, I followed my instructor everywhere he went so I could learn everything I could. I even stayed after hours to glean from his knowledge." His instructor told him that he had never met anyone like him before. Someone who was hungry for knowledge. After graduating with a degree in computer science, he was offered a part-time job in the IT department. That job later became full-time. As a contributing co-author to Raising Frankie, he visited his parents twice a week to proofread and suggest any changes he felt were necessary. They wanted to make sure he was comfortable with every line before it went to publication. Since he has embraced the book, the three of us hope readers will share its content to assist anyone they know who is or have dealt with ADHD.
