Even when you join the military, once you retire, you are free to return to civil life. But for marriage, it's "...till death do us part..." Once you say "I DO", you are in; but how many people really go into marriage knowing what they are doing when they say "I DO"? How many have they been properly prepared to know the kind of person to say "I DO" to? How many people know the things you need to look out for before saying "I DO"? The purpose of this book is to give you a scriptural guide on what to do before you commit your life to saying "I DO" to anyone. Whether you are single or married, this book will be great help to you and to someone you love.

Parenting with Grace
Parenting can be challenging, especially in this day and age where Godly principles and standards have diminished in society. Children often see examples of people void of Godly character and integrity.Raising children can cause Christian parents to feel overwhelmed with trying to protect and teach their children Godly principles and have them question if they know what they are doing. At times, they are left feeling stressed, frustrated, and defeated.Despite these emotions, there's a "sweet spot" in parenting that one can achieve when they tap into God's "parenting grace."This is a place where they are at peace and confident that they will be able to defeat what tries to come against their children and their family. This comes when parents download wisdom from the Holy Spirit about parenting instead of merely relying on their intellect and abilities. This book is for parents who are exhausted with parenting in their strength and want to tap into the grace of God. Through practical examples and sound biblical strategies that have been developed after several years of working with parents, the author will highlight parenting mishaps and how to correct them.Thought-provoking questions and real-life examples will have parents thinking about parenting habits and paradigms that may need to shift. This book will leave parents feeling encouraged and empowered in their parenting journey and show them how to transition from the downward cycle of frustration, stress, and worry.

How to Raise a Child
They say that raising a child is difficult. If you ask us, you have to be more specific. First, raising a baby and a child are two completely different things. From the moment your baby is born to when they reach an age they can follow what you are saying, the journey is not that difficult. The road that comes after that is treacherous... filled with temper tantrums and unreasonable requests. Not to mention the imaginary friends and the blanket or stuffed toy they are not ready to let go of.Babies coming out of their toddler age should experience different emotions as they help them develop their inner tools, which they can use throughout life. You don't need to be a child psychologist or an expert to raise a kid. All that's required from you and your spouse is flexibility and patience. When a baby reaches the school-going age, most parents pay attention to their extra curricular activities and grades instead of focusing on their progress. They keep a tight schedule by making sure that the child goes to school, has lunch, and gets ready for the soccer practice or ballet lesson to get there on time.Where did teaching them good behavior and helping them develop better habits go? Don't you think those are necessary for raising a child so that they turn out to be a good person? We often forget the importance of character traits such as empathy, generosity, and kindness. The most significant character trait of all is integrity. It shows parents how their child will act when no one is looking. There's no formula to raising a child. However, the way parents interact with their offspring is what determines how the child will grow up to be.To help you go through the steps of raising a child, we have made this eBook that will help you how parents can teach their children good behavior.

Sensory Parenting for Sensory Children
When your child dysregulates, half the battle is managing your own response. In the moment, you're at the mercy of many competing feelings: embarrassment, fear, panic, exhaustion. Being able to recognise your own triggers and behaviours in order to stay calm and provide the best support to your child, is not a skill that comes easily. Helping parents and carers to reflect on themselves, think about how they manage sensory meltdowns and give them some simple ideas on how to manage their own emotions in order to help their child, this is a short and simple guide for those that parent or care for a child with sensory needs, or a sensory processing disorder (SPD). Drawing on Porges' polyvagal theory, and using easy-to-follow animal analogies, this will empower parents to build empathy for their child, and themselves.

The Pier
Timothy James Bottoms has written a love letter to Santa Barbara. While he may be best known for his award-winning performances in front of the camera, do not be mislead into thinking, for even a moment, that he is a lightweight as a writer. Mr. Bottoms deft hand has spun a lovely coming of age story that will hold you spellbound. His sense of place, as well as the descriptions of sound, the visuals and the narrative, will carry you along on the journey of a little boy, as he grows into a big boy over just one day. The Pier is so well done, that I could hear the sounds of the gulls fighting over bait, smell the salt filled fog that surrounded the pier, all while feeling the same trepidation I felt the first time I journeyed out alone. The Pier is a marvelous yarn, that will take you back to your own special days of growing up in a perfect place. It is the best Sunday read I have found in a very long time.

Fay Michelle decided to publish the stories in an effort to create a memorable legacy for all of her grandchildren. The first story to be published is called, "Got To Have That Green Banana." The moral to the story is that, "one can tell a banana by it's color." The next story published in the series is called, Singing For Prunes: Jesus Sweeter Than Candy. Fay Michelle is left asking questions about the songs that she learned from an endearing old lady, who lived across the street from her home. She would discover the the songs would have the answers to all of her questions. The stories in the series can be read out of order. However, there will be an ending story which will tug at the audiences emotions. The book will not be published until all of the other booked have been published and promoted. Everyone shall have the opportunity to get to know both Fay Michelle and her Grandma Cleo in personal way before the series ends. Fay Michelle and her Grandma Cleo shared special moments together and were extremely close to one another. Their relationship was not only a kinship, but a friendship. They would cook, sew, talk, and enjoy one another as though they were best friends. MJ and Fay Michelle share a similar relationship as Grandma Cleo and Fay Michelle shared. Therefore, MJ is very much apart of the storytelling. He lends his voice by making contributions to the stories at the beginning and at the end of the stories. Sometimes he reminds Grandma Fay Michelle of mistakes made as a child and as an adult. He proofs illustrations and gives his thoughts. He chooses the titles of some of the books and gives many suggestions and commentary. He is a great little promoter of the books. When he finds himself on a Zoom, he is happy to share the books. COVID19 has made it very difficult to be around loved ones. However, MJ makes all the effort to share his love with everyone that he is able to communicate with. Please leave suggestions or comments about the books. Your love and support is humbly and greatly appreciated and anticipated. Keep yourselves safe and best wishes to you all. Big, Big, Hugs. Fay Michelle and MJ.
Fathers True
When the author's son John suggested he write a book about fatherhood, he thought, with all the books on fatherhood, who needs another? He concluded, "Perhaps I do." While the book is indeed about fatherhood and fathers, it also tells of other fitting paternal exemplars - father figures - who may not have had children of their own but nonetheless have or had the right stuff as men and mentors. A central tenet herein is that good strong fathers are essential to the character building and moral fiber of our young and the very fabric and future of our currently downward-spiraling society. One reviewer writes, "...the testimonials describing the influence for good one person can have over another, be he parent, son, friend, teacher, comrade, barber, sports coach, or even our children are remarkable. The vignettes sometimes evoke amusement, sometimes tears, but lift the spirit and stay in the memory."

Stuck in the Onesies
If you've ever played the game of jacks, you know that if you get "stuck in the onesies" you're forever trying to catch up. Stuck in the Onesies will give your spirit a lift, your face a good laugh, and your history-buff side a tap on the shoulder. Two housewives, Barb and Ellie, are raising kids in the tumultuous 60's in the D.C. suburbs and their antics make Lucy and Ethel look tame. Their husbands, Jake and Will, are also as close as brothers and the friendship becomes more like famiy than friends. It's the story of their close relationships, and how they evolve along with the times without the bra-burning activities that swirl around them. However, Stuck in the Onesies is more than just a story of two families. The issues of the 60's are intertwined, racism, women's rights, the Viet Nam war, just to name a few. When one is writing about racism and then comes realize that the people you loved the most were on the wrong side of the debate, it can make for hard decisions in the writing process. Southern roots ran deep and in the '60's. Those roots were dug up and exposed and this story shows some of its evolution through its characters as well as the events of the decade. Stuck in the Onesies will help you to understand the struggles on both sides and how as a society, we tried to bring equality to everyone. Sometimes we succeeded, and sometimes not.
Our Family Our Legacy
A family is an important unit in our life. In building this institution, marriage becomes a susceptible foundation that holds the family together. This comes with rights and responsibilities that we often neglect and take for granted. In Our Family Our Legacy, Dr Yasir Qadhi analyses the topic of a family institution by dissecting it into two dichotomous parts, which are spouses and children. In today's world where family and marriage institutions are becoming less and less favourable, the author highlights the significance of keeping them steady, by suggesting tips and ways in understanding your spouses and children, as a way to make them understand you as well. He also reiterates the rights and responsibilities that we all should take note of and adhere to for a sakinah, mawaddah and raḥmah marriage in which children will bloom.
