And a willingness to spend one's honeymoon in the wilds of Scotland.Harry isn't entirely convinced about the last one. But her beloved has his heart set on visiting the sleepy village of Drumnadrochit, which just happens to sit on the shore of Loch Ness. Rumors swirl around the loch-whispered tales of a huge hump-backed creature seen swimming through the murk. John can't resist the lure of a yet-undiscovered species. Harry agrees to investigate...if he promises to do the rowing. When they arrive, they discover that they're not the only ones chasing Nessie. A local newspaper is offering a reward for the first photograph and droves of amateur monster hunters descend on the village, including Harry's godfather, Arthur Conan Doyle. If that isn't enough to dash her hopes for a romantic interlude, a series of brutal murders points to yet another legendary beast-one which, as Uncle Arthur puts it, "has the footprints of a gigantic hound!" It will take all of Harry's cunning to uncover the truth behind the deaths-and what lurks beneath the dark, chill waters of the loch. You'll love The Beast of Loch Ness for its witty banter, spine-chilling monster mash-up, and diabolically clever mystery. Get it now.

Tales of the Prague Ghetto
A collection of nineteenth-century folklore-infused tales of Jewish life in Prague. Trained in philosophy and medicine, the writer, translator, scholar, and political and cultural activist Siegfried Kapper (1821-1879) devoted significant effort to the advancement of Jewish culture in Bohemia, Jewish emancipation, and to the commitment of Jews to contemporary Czech society. The three stories in this collection, which first appeared in the press in the 1840s and were posthumously published as a collection at the end of the century, offer a Romantic and folkloric vision of Jewish culture in Prague. The first story, "Genenda," displays Kapper's operatic eye for detail and drama with its account of a dutiful rabbi's daughter being swept away by a dashing young man, a Christian nobleman disguised as a Jew. "The Curious Guest" is an intricate tale of a quest for wisdom and power. The final story, "Glowing Coals," is a supernatural tale of romantic desire and revenge, displaying Kapper's skill at deploying the tropes of folklore for dramatic literary effect. The collection not only provides a colorful snapshot of nineteenth-century Czech-Jewish culture but also resonates with universal human themes that transcend a single national experience.

The Splendid Tale of Figerly Bunny
Figerly Bunny loves to dance ballet. She also loves school, her friends, and Fairies. One night, she makes a special wish and is paid a visit by a magical friend and something truly magical happens! She ends up having a day like never before... Figerly Bunny is a fairytale story for children. Figerly Bunny is a real stuffed animal, named by Andrew's daughter, Lila, and this is her story. From the author: My daughter asked me to write her a fairy tale, so I took her seriously. I used elements from her real life in the story to make it more special for her. This is my first book, but not my last. I felt it was important to include a message of some kind in the story, as I believe that teaching through story is a great way to convey morals & ethics. The story of Figerly Bunny is primarily a story of gratitude; one of the most important principles to keep in your heart (in my opinion).

Come join Evan Nestor and Annette on their journey of discovery and fun, of kindness and love with illustrations by the author himself. We know after you read this book, you'll want to get out and explore, and maybe find a Sasquatch for yourself! "Annette: A Big, Hairy Mom by John S. McFarland is a delightfully illustrated romp for young readers, woven together with legend, conspiracy theory, loveable monsters, colorful characters, and unforgettable character naming conventions such as Wesley Interruptus Buttinski. McFarland has the whimsical storytelling of Roald Dahl. A terrific book to read aloud with the kids." Kevin M. Folliard, author of Grayson North, Frost-Keeper of the Windy City "Annette: A Big, Hairy Mom is the kind of book every young Cryptid enthusiast should read. While so many films and books portray these beings as monstrous, the fact is they are more like us in many ways. Adventure, surprises, and discovery await the young mind in this delightful book. Recommended!" David Bakara, Expedition Bigfoot: The Sasquatch Museum, Blue Ridge, Georgia "All parts of Annette: A Big, Hairy Mom are scintillatingly believable in their sharp focus, realistic action, sure character, and plot development. Undoubtedly, like many readers, this reviewer was moved to tears when Evan sacrificed his beloved Froggums for Annette to cherish, understanding and identifying with her special loneliness. Like J.K. Rowling and others, McFarland never underestimates the sensitivity and sophistication of his intended audience." Midwest Book Review

100 Enchanting Fables
The fable is one of the most beloved and easily recognisable types of literature. It is a story stripped to its bare minimum, written not only to amuse, but inform us of the consequences of certain types of behaviour. The fable also has a rich history, and, long before the advent of writing, was passed down orally from generation to generation in nearly every single country in the world. Needless to say, the best-known of these short stories have been ascribed to Aesop, and are at least two-thousand years old. But sadly, the fable is now deemed at best old-fashioned, and at worst archaic, and is on the verge of becoming a forgotten art form. So, in 100 Enchanting Fables, we now have an opportunity to revisit this lost world. Here, the reader will wander through a delightful realm in which animals, people, gods and the spiritual personifications of Death, Hope, Karma, Destiny and Fortune interact and resolve simple moral or practical riddles in a humorous, reflective or poignant manner. 100 Enchanting Fables is the first of two books of original and previously unpublished fables, and is suitable for anyone between 14 and 140 years old.
