You think to the creature is given freedom, whereas it finds itself momentarily in the greatest restriction. Hunger forces you to eat, tiredness demands sleep from you. The external sensory human is subject to the powers of nature; he has no freedom, he can only wish. The truly human powers by contrast are belief, hope, and love, hunger and thirst for knowledge, the flight of fantasy, desire for a spiritually higher life. These are powers which act through themselves, which are not to be commanded, and which, if you attempt to model them according to your own arbitrary ideas, turn against us to our detriment."

Mean, Median, and a Mostly Uninteresting GIRL
Jane Carter, a "mostly average girl," has long felt herself to be a side character in her own story. Her younger brothers are not only more interesting than her by the merit of being twins, but by having incredible drive for academia or sports. Their parents have careers that are anything but ordinary; mom sells houses with macabre histories (murder, hauntings, you name it) and dad is an animal psychologist. Even her high school friends managed to be remarkable, outgoing, quirky, and passionate. Jane, on the other hand, sees herself as nothing of the sort. Going off to college has made her longstanding normalcy all the more apparent. Even with her high school days behind her, Jane cannot help but slip back into the comfortable space their memories provide, but with hindsight being 20/20 she also cannot stop the journey of self-re-discovery she's unwittingly undertaking. Mean, Median, and a Mostly Average Girl is something of Perks of Being a Wallflower meets Again, But Better in that Jane's world was turned upside-down in what seemed to be all the best of ways thanks to her friends but now that they've all moved on with their lives, she's stuck asking herself how she can move forward.
In Search of the Truth
Does it seem like the 2016 US presidential election ushered in a reality where truth is merely a subjective reflection of its originator? But as the effects of the days following January 20, 2017 ripple across nations, might the truth be that we are experiencing the reality of a divine plan? Would you believe that the current day was predicted long ago and that your journey is not by chance? One evident truth is that those who are expected to protect democracy are often at odds with one another. The media, politicians, and world leaders present different norms for living, leaving nations in a wake of confusion and devastation. Have you been asking yourself how you will ever know the truth? It is history that traces the footsteps of those who have gone before allowing us to follow the breadcrumbs of truth left behind. Sadly, the trails show how the world has fallen prey to those who profess to know the truth and the way. Yet in spite of leaders who have attempted to blot out the light of the world, a beacon of truth has remained steadfast and weathered the test of time. And it is a consistent truth that all nations whose beliefs have been built on a rock-solid foundation withstand those who threaten the existence of humankind. In Search of the Truth highlights how the shadows of the past are influencing our lives today. The book shines a light on the 2017 political and social dilemmas while sharing a unique perspective on how our journey is not by chance. The final chapter will remind you of past prophecies and the hope we have been given for the future. There will be revelations about the trials that have taken us closer to a simple solution that we can all be part of. If you have been searching for answers to America's conflicts, tragedies, and natural disasters; In Search of the Truth may share the hope you need during the trials and tribulations we will face in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead.

Oh, and we can't forget the chipmunk on weed.In this allegorical prequel to creation, Bradley Archibald takes readers into a supernatural war beyond imagination. This engaging and creative interpretation of pre-Genesis apocrypha will leave readers wondering what is coming next. The outcome of good always defeating evil is not assured.
