The Making of a Martyr
"I am not afraid to die ...-- Father Stanley Rother What makes a man stand by his faith when he knows his adversaries will slay him? Why does he not run when he could escape his murder? How does he stand against fear when he knows assault is coming? Father Stanley Rother's story answers these questions. Going to Guatemala in 1968 as a missionary, he enabled poor farmers to find a new and prosperous way of life. As he brought hope, the government feared his influence as the Army sought to destroy the indigenous people. Standing for his faith, Father Stanley knew he was on their death list and yet he stayed to the end. His story offers renewed courage and insight in standing for the highest while being faced with personal destruction. Father Stanley Rother was and is a man for our time.
If Only
If Only is a stunning portrayal of the yearnings and emotions of a young girl trapped in the vicious cycle of rejection, cruelty, deception, and abuse, telling the haunting truth about the unpredictability of life. Roseline was a normal, loved, happy little girl living alone with her mom. Until she wasn't. Her dad's return from the war changed everything. What follows is the nerve-racking depth of abuse Roseline has to endure. Alone and isolated, she struggles to navigate her young years with a deep yearning to be loved but finding only more deception, rejection, and abuse. God brings some hope to Roseline through two unlikely women: a purposeful old lady, Martha, who keeps watch by her window for the attention of a loving Father to the destitute, the rejected, and the abused, and a godly, educated young lady, Julia, who can relate much too well to the path Roseline is forced to tread. But suddenly, Roseline exits their safe haven without a word and again is plunged into the darkness she fought so hard to escape. Will the duo's faith in God be enough to unlock the prison that holds Roseline? Will Roseline ever find her way to the light? With a masterful blend of relatable characters and compelling relationships, Oluseyi J. Akinlade weaves a tale that speaks volumes about the scars abuse leave on the bodies and hearts. But more than that, it is a tale about resilience, strength, and God's love.

The Labyrinth of the World and the Paradise of the Heart
The theologian, philosopher and pedagogue known in Czech as Jan Amos Komensky was the first great modern educator, nicknamed "The Teacher of the Nations" and a very great author on the subject whose ideas, methods and innovations greatly improved and advanced education. For example, he developed a revolutionary system absorbing theology, philosophy, and education into one. As an exponent of universal education, he believed all people should have access to education regardless of class, etc and he made great strides in this endeavor. He wrote this allegorical religious classic Labyrinth of the World and Paradise of the Heart which is the story of a pilgrim seeking the Glory, Beauty and Love of God in the world while he tries to follow God's will for his life as revealed in the Bible. But the pilgrim sees only deception, vanity, falsehood, misery and death in the world. He wants to run away, but he has nowhere to go. He finds the way out of the confusion of this world in the opening of his heart so that Jesus Christ can enter it. Labyrinth of the World and Paradise of the Heart is often regarded as the greatest Czech-language work of the 17th century. Now here translated into English, the reader will see this book is certainly as good as the greatest Christian allegory ever written, John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, and should be read together with it...

Straddling Black and White
Straddling Black and White follows the story of brave, fourteen-year-old Azmera, who takes part in the mass immigration of Ethiopian Jewry to Israel in the 1980s. Azmera embarks on the treacherous journey to join her father in Israel, leaving her pregnant mother and four younger siblings behind in war-torn Ethiopia. Upon arrival in Israel, Azmera struggles to assimilate into a country where the language, the land, and the people are both foreign and familiar. As she begins to fulfill her dream of living in the Jewish homeland, her father develops a growing dependency on alcohol in his attempt to numb the daily humiliation he faces as a new immigrant. Azmera is confronted with shocking secrets from her parents' past, making her doubt everything she once knew. With each passing day, Azmera learns that the world she once took for granted as black and white is much more nuanced and complex than she ever could have imagined. Straddling Black and White is a timely novel from Kim Salzman, whose experience working with Ethiopian Jewish immigrants illuminates a fresh, moving perspective on the deeply layered issues surrounding immigration, racism, and identity.Praise for Straddling Black and White: "Salzman's deep interest in the Ethiopian Jewish experience, and her extensive knowledge of the difficulties undergone by so many who participated in the mass aliyahs of the 1980s and 1990s, imbue the novel with a sense of reality. She has her story unfold against a background of events and experiences that ring true...Straddling Black and White is an absorbing story in itself, but it also rewards the reader by shining a light on an aspect of Israel's history that deserves to be better known and understood-the immigration of so many of the Ethiopian Jewish community." -Neville Teller, The Jerusalem Post"Straddling Black and White takes on a tricky narrative, full of contradictions and conflicting ideas about home and belonging. This would be a tall order for anyone to deliver on; for a debut novelist, it's downright impressive. I hope this is the first of many books from Salzman, and that her work inspires other writers to tell this important, heroic, and fascinating story." -Mikhal Weiner, TCJewFolk.com

Refiner's Fire
Childlike trust brings a new awareness that hope is available and help is on the way. A prophetic dream reveals our heart sets the standard for what we will see. As God reveals Himself to us, we respond with our heart, creating an attitude of childlike trust in a good Father. Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3, NASB1995). It is written, "Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, And which have not entered the heart of man, All that God has prepared for those who love Him." For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God . . . but we have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:9-16, NASB 1995). We "tremble at His Word" out of awe and wonder, and our hearts grow more in love with Him. This attitude causes even trials and suffering to become growth opportunities. The opposite attitude creates arrogance and a stubborn, unrepentant heart. Living in his kingdom is glorious. Glory can be defined as copiousness, which means "large in quantity or number; abundant; plentiful." His kingdom is boundless, limitless, complete, perfect. His only request is that we trust Him as a good Father. With God, all things are possible. This attitude begins now in our heart and will take all of eternity to discover. Kenneth R. Kehl is now retired after a career as a successful insurance broker. He has been happily married for sixty-two years and has three children, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He continues to encourage prisoners in the So. California area with his message of hope.

DAWN of SUBJECTION
DAWN of SUBJECTION: America's Last Days by D.I. Telbat is Book Three of the Last Dawn Series, a Christian Post-apocalyptic, End Times Novel. Violence and subjection dawn across America in her last days as the New Federation flexes its muscle under a new administration. Under COIL leadership, Christian refugees flee for their lives toward the West, as killers have been tasked to hunt them down. In this new age of unrest and persecution, Levi Caspertein exchanges caution for mercy to care for an injured enemy who has lost all hope in living. Jenna Dowler and Chen Li are kidnapped by human traffickers, but their faith in God's providence lifts their resolve to serve rather than strive. It seems unlikely that Nathan Isaacson will be able to rescue his wife and the blind woman before they are sold or killed. Rex Caspertein grits his teeth in determination, buries the dead, and leads the refugees toward the setting sun. Hunger, thirst, and fear threaten his humble band of Christian families, and although Rex can identify the armed convoy chasing them, he can only suspect the sedition within his own party. In the midst of loss, heartache, and weariness, God's people set aside their own wounds to patiently care for the lost while watching the dawn of subjection rise behind them... In America's last days, only the steadfast will survive! Dawn of Subjection is a 90,000-word Christian apocalyptic novel. Book Four, Dawn of Tribulation, is next in this series.

Theology
Theology is the systematic study of the nature of the Almighty God. Allah, and, more broadly, religious belief. Many people want an easy shortcut to increase their faith. Also, there are students, including Christians, Muslims Hindus, on the road to theology. Due to more than 30 faith books authored, I get an email from all over the world asking me a question about the Bible, Quran, Gita, Ten Guru ect. This Theology book covers most of the syllabus for a degree in Theology. And all the primary faith and the nature of Almighty God. Apart from writing about all faiths, This book contains topics including Abortion Debate. Affirming The Rights of the LGBTQ Community.Analysis of Same-Sex Marriage. Suicide Epidemic Deviance baptism using spirit and fire as prophesied. Basis of Religion on Influencing Racial Discrimination and Death Penalty. Two-Parent Blended Families Post-Divorce. Black Lives Matter through the lens of Religion. Christian beliefs in the afterlife, reward, and punishment. Empathy Walk. War and Religion, ect. At that time, I was persecuted by minority nationalities working for the Justice department. An Asian named S.G and other black personnel. It was so bad that I was contemplating suicide. Like Prophets Jonah, I was planning suicide to run away from God and prepared to go to hell, but my obedience and trust in God forbade me. Instead, I dreamt of Jesus' Cross and fire, which penetrated my heart. This was followed by the Holy Spirit telling me to write three more books, namely 1,000 questions and answers on the Quran, 1000 questions and answers on Old Testament, 1,000 Questions and Answers on New Testament and over 54 essays on Theology. God gave me the resource and strength, and I wrote all four (each between 400 to 550 pages), which Amazon sells to reach everyone worldwide. Please visit my website, www.faithunitybooks.com or www.jsaccountsbusinessandlaw.com, where you will see over 77 books I have authored, plus the books mentioned above. Carnivalesque Inversion in the Fiction of Kurt Vonnegut
In the politically fluid landscape of modern America, Kurt Vonnegut offers his readers a mirror of cultural self-reflection. Through his personal experiences, he encourages his readers to acknowledge their perceptions of society and ideology as illusionary, allowing them the freedom to recreate a better world. Vonnegut's novels are as relevant today as they were in post-war America, a call for people to allow America to become a beacon of humanity, the role it was always meant to fulfill. This book focuses on Kurt Vonnegut's novels Player Piano, Cat's Cradle, and Slaughterhouse-Five, exploring the themes of technology, religion, and war through the literary theories of Mikhail Bakhtin. It concentrates on Bakhtin's carnivalesque inversion from Rabelais and His World and his theoretical perspectives on the text as a site of struggle from The Dialogic Imagination. "Emma Saggers' far-reaching application of Bakhtin's theories of the Carnivalesque to the fiction of Kurt Vonnegut is an astute realisation of the possibilities of both. Using the theory as an illuminating lens while keeping the fiction front and centre, Vonnegut's work is given the kind of sophisticated, incisive attention it deserves but does not always get. Now more than ever, we need the insights and deep humanity of Vonnegut, and Emma Saggers' study is an ideal critical accompaniment to reading and rereading this much-loved but still under-appreciated American writer."--Owen Robinson, Senior Lecturer, Department of Literature Film and Theatre Studies, University of Essex, United Kingdom

Signs of the Times
In the first book in this series, Signs of the Times in 2020; the persecution was dealt with in one chapter, but requires further examination because of the current state of the world. Although Christian persecution takes various forms, it is characterized as any hostility encountered due to affiliation with Jesus Christ. Followers of Christianity are targeted for persecution for their religion in all parts of the world: they are attacked at work and school, discriminated against, at risk of being sexually assaulted, tortured, detained, and much more. In this book, I will attempt to explain what is happening in the world from a biblical and prophetic viewpoint and some of the events we should expect next. Joe Irizarry is a business owner, marketer, and author. Despite a slew of trials and tribulations, his life took a turn in his 20s when he focused on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Joe has used his unique life experiences and knowledge of the Bible to spread God's word since becoming a Christian. He launched JoeIrizarryNoticiasCristianas.com in 2018, intending to spread the gospel throughout Latin America. In 2020, he felt compelled to write "Signs of the Times in 2020, The Beginning Of Sorrows" as a result of all the accumulating evidence that closely paralleled many of the Bible's prophecies. Joe established The Joe Irizarry Foundation to assist those in need in 2022.
