His Kingdom Girlz
Imagine three young girls who come from very different backgrounds, but their love for good food, great parties, friendship, family and most of all Jesus Christ, takes them on some great adventures together. Even when a long-lost family member shows up unexpectedly, will it ruin this birthday weekend for Tasha? My name is Tiffany Moss and I absolutely love to write, sing, spend time in nature and enjoy time with my family. My greatest love is my love for Jesus Christ and sharing it with people of all ages. However, I hold a special place in my heart for children and my wanting to share how important, loved and cherished they are by Jesus Christ. Because of that great love, I created my children's series His Kingdom Girlz. It is my hope that you, and all the Kingdom Girlz that you know, really enjoy this series.
What Cloud Is My Sister In?
Death is often perceived as an end point. Yet any family who has lost a child, either at birth or at some point in the child's journey towards adulthood, will acknowledge it is a beginning. The beginning of a life-long grief journey, not just for parents, but for other family members as well. While tears often come easily, words and actions, many times do not. How does one explain the death of a newborn, or the death of a child in elementary school or even high school, to their brothers and/or sisters? This story invites the grieving child/children, and the adults who love them, through a two-day grief camp experience for children. The three turtles meet at camp. They have each lost a sister. Snappy's teenage sister, Sarah, died. Speedy's newborn sister Harper died. And Shelly's young sister Layla died too. Through the experience of numerous camp activities and discussions, the three turtles become friends. They learn in the process that while remembering can make them sad, it can also help them to laugh and be happy too. Speedy learns even though he didn't get to create memories with his sister, he can use his heart and mind to imagine what life would be like with her. As camp comes to an end, the three friends realize they will always carry their sisters with them, in their hearts and in their minds. This book includes many recommendations for techniques siblings can use to honor and remember their sister. These activities allow the adult(s) and child/children to feel their grief through sharing openly about various grief topics, looking back at memories, and creating tangible remembrances. In time, through the sacred sharing of grief, they will begin to heal together as well.

Uriel's experience at the manger has a profound, and at first misinterpreted, impact on him after he leaves the Holy Family to retrieve a cloak to cover the Christ child. Just as Uriel uses the light of Christ to navigate through the countryside, so are we to use that light to navigate through our own life journey. Although we carry that light with us throughout our lives, we need stories like this to remind us, not only that we can rely on it, but that we are to be that light for others.

I Share My Name
New picture book shines a light on an important Jewish naming custom. The Sephardic Jewish custom of naming a child after their paternal or maternal grandparent is depicted in a warm and vibrant story about a young boy who has many cousins with his name, Jojo."Jojo Nissim" is proud that he has many cousins who share his name. "Big Jojo" is his oldest cousin who can do lots of things like ride his scooter super fast. "Jojo-man" is another cousin, called so because he loves superheroes. His six-month-old cousin is called "Baby Jojo" because, well, he's a baby! Named after Papa Jojo to show how much their family loves him, all of the cousins love having dinner together at their grandfather's house on Fridays for Shabbat where they eat kibbe cherry, eggplant mehshi, challah, and other delicious customary food. The author was inspired to write her story when her son Joseph, or Jojo, was young and wondered why he shared his name with many others in his family. As the tenth grandchild, he was not the first Joseph in the family, having been named after his grandfather. The resulting story playfully explains this custom. I Share My Name is a delightful and authentic story of tradition and family that families and educators of young children will welcome for those that embrace this tradition and also for those interested in learning about other cultures and their customs.

I Am a Powerful Person
"Why does that girl only have one hand?"This is a question I have heard frequently since my daughter was born in 2013. We were quite surprised to see our beautiful baby girl was born as an in utero amputee; missing the lower portion of her left arm and hand. We soon learned about her diagnosis of Amniotic Band Syndrome (ABS) and began the journey of raising our child to be a powerful person regardless of her overt physical difference. Our mantra is simple and true."You are a Powerful Person. You make your own choices. You are beautiful, brave, strong and kind."I Am a Powerful Person is a children's book created to teach young readers that they are ultimately responsible for their own choices. Despite hardship, disappointment and even prejudice, every single person is powerful enough to learn how to control their own self. One always has the choice between good and bad. And making a deliberate choice to reduce suffering or to augment it is up to them. It is the challenge to live up to one's fullest potential, embracing those difficult moments that can make us stronger than we ever thought possible! A real-life SUPER POWER that can be cultivated with discipline, sacrifice and patience!

Hand It to God!
Jonah is like many children his age, sometimes he has trouble falling asleep at night in his own bed and feels lonely. One night, his mom helps Jonah learn that he is never really alone because God is always there, just waiting for us to talk to Him. Teaching our children how to pray using The Lord's Prayer format- adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication, is important, but helping them understand that God wants to be in constant relationship with us is even more. In this story, children learn that because God is always with us, when we are in relationship with Him all we need to do is "talk to Him" about anything at any time- this form of prayer helps us grow closer to God, naturally go to Him for comfort and guidance, and learn to include Him even more in our daily lives.

Splashes of Sunshine
There was no labor involved in choosing the title of the book. The title came long before the writing began. I feel strongly that the Lord inspired the title. About a month or more later the writing began to take form. A Splash of Sunshine will indicate something bright, beautiful, charming, inviting, healing, or fun. It will knock out darkness instantly in the real world. There are no dark doldrums within this book. This little village was named Twitterville because of all the cunning little creatures twittering about, or using their twittering voices to communicate, sometimes in secret code. The village includes some inside and outside capers that cause giggles to rise from your belly. They are precious and adorable creatures full of vim and vigor, helping us to forget our troubles. Entering Twitterville provides quick relief to anxiety and fear. The air is pure and the village is charming as the stories unfold. This book has maintained strict ethical and moral codes, so the very young can have it read to them but develops interesting characters enough to make it entertaining and inspirational for adults as well. It's warm, safe, good, educational, and kind. The love shown between siblings, parents, grandparents, cousins, friends, and neighbors is exemplary. They happily spread helpfulness, acceptance of one another, and friendship to newcomers on the block. There are several reflections in the book centering on detailed descriptions of specific seasons of nature in hopes that they will inspire deeper appreciation for each season represented. The poems within this book create a sense of wonder and enlightenment, or give way to helping you remember your own similar personal experiences. They are tender and warm, fun and exciting-- some in storytelling form. God bless you!

"...but to do what's right, no matter the cost."When thirteen-year-old Yodin Baewolf opens a mysterious old book, his world becomes what he reads. Launched into a land of monsters, man-beasts, and Woe Shadows, all seeking to end his young life, he fights to rescue a young goddess and her kingdom, learning who he is and the price of standing up for those who cannot.Award-winning author of The Lorian Stones Trilogy, Lew Anderson creates a fun adventure full of action and intrigue in this mythical land where only a 'bold-heart' can survive. Family-friendly for ages ten and up, this story conveys Christian concepts such as perseverance, self-sacrifice, and the power of praise."This book grabbed my attention immediately and kept it. The Biblical worldview underlying the plot is plainly evident without being "preachy." It's an amazing story, family-friendly for ages ten and up, that is full of fun, adventure, action, and intrigue." -Wayne Walker (Home School Book Review)
