We Are Like CATERPILLARS
Several years ago, while I was driving my son to soccer practice, He asked me a question about what happens to us when we die. I was completely surprised by his question and how to answer it so that a 5yr-old would understand. However, I was the one that was surprised and amazed. After I made my attempt to answer his question, his response completely caught me off guard. In his deep little mind, he illustrated to me a fantastic truth of how we can see God through nature. He explained to me that we are all like caterpillars and that one day we will enter the cocoon and transform into a majestic butterfly. He also explained that as a caterpillar we only see what is in front of us, but when we transform into butterflies we will then see eternity that we never really knew existed. About the author Ryan Fortenberry is a graduate of Auburn University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. He also graduated with a Masters of Divinity from New Orleans Theological Seminary. Evey's Favorite Day of the Week is about a little girl who loves Sundays. She loves her parents and the church. Evey's favorite part about church is spending time with her friends and her Sunday school teacher Brother Cooper. This book is also about having unconditional love, having the same love for your neighbors as God want us to have."Then one of them, which was a lawyer asked him in a question, tempting him, and saying, 'Master, which is the great commandment in the law?' Jesus said unto him, 'Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and the great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself'" (Matthew 22:35-39).The Bible says that love is the greatest of all the commandments, and Evey's Favorite Day of the Week should be able to show that love.

I Give You the Moon
I Give You the Moon is a heartwarming wish every parent can make for their child. Inspired while rocking her daughter to sleep, Allison began reaching into the air and "grabbing" the moon and stars to give to her daughter as they snuggled together. Mommy's hand motions would make a mesmerizing shadow on the ceiling as her little baby drifted off into a peaceful sleep. As she stared down at that sweet face in her arms, Allison began imagining what God has in store for all of her daughters. Among all of the life lessons to be taught to her children throughout their lives, she incorporates the biggest truths she prays her girls always know and remember as they grow up. Inspired by those special moments and memories, she began reciting this book every night to her daughters as they went to sleep, which led to her desire to share this moment with others. Allison's hope for this book is that every parent can share a special memory of positive wishes and powerful prayers for their children's futures as they rock and read this book together. Because as all parents know, above all else, we will do anything to give our babies the moon and the stars!

Thank You, God
I started writing this book when my children were very young. They would get ready for bed, and when I went in to tuck them in, we would pray together about the day, family, and friends. This was just something we would do at the end of the day to spend extra time together, then a kiss and usually an "I love you" and "Sleep sweet." For me, it always made me feel happy and hopefully send them to sleep with good thoughts. As my kids grew up, I found out not many people knew how to start a prayer or know what to pray about. I am hopeful that this book will help start a prayer and maybe a conversation or at least something to think about. The title seemed fitting since most the book is about being thankful for learning, living, and loving and having a conversation with God. Hey God, Lets talk...
The Little House on the Hill
The Little House on the Hill is a fun short story about a magical hillside where anything is possible. It tells the story of Gabe, one particular house that is built here. Together we see how he and his animal friends play and interact and the friendships that are formed between them.It is also a story of love that he finds in another house, Marie. We see them meet, fall in love, and go through life together. As in life, one day, something happens that changes everything, and we see how the love for someone can be the reason to not give up and to believe in what you feel. It's full of happy times and some not-so-happy times, but it's still an enjoyable journey to follow. It's my version of love and friendship of two houses through the eyes of children and adults who read their story.

Her paintings are in collection all over the world. I lost my home, of thirty three years, in hurricane Katrina. I have since moved out of state but my heart will always be in New Orleans.
