This is the beginning of a series of books to teach important Biblical principles to children. Each book will be dedicated to a different one of my grandchildren. It is my desire that this book will encourage you to "train up" any child in your life. The Bible instructs us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Love Finds Ricky
This book is about the power of love through unselfish acts of kindness. It is a tender story of concern for others and the happiness it brings two little poodles, Frankie and Ricky. It conveys to children that their departed pets haven't forgotten them and that Heaven is a happy place. There is a general description of puppy mills. This story is a lesson in hope and courage that will brighten your day and lighten your heart. Frankie finds himself in Heaven worrying about his loved ones on Earth who are overcome with sadness after his death. He is given an assignment to go back to Earth and make his family happy again, as well as discover what his job will be in Heaven. In completing his task, Frankie learns about unselfish acts of kindness. With love and the help of friends, Frankie saves Ricky and other dogs from a puppy mill. He brings joy back to his family when he helps them find and adopt Ricky. Frankie goes on to experience rewards for his good works and great happiness in Heaven as he pursues his new mission: to rescue animals in need and find them forever homes.
Yama the Llama
"Yama the Llama carries balsam for his friend, Samuel. He is excited to go to Jericho where they will sell the balsam and visit his cousin, Suri the Alpaca. Suri works for the tax collector, Zacchaeus, who treats him badly, over-charges people, and keeps the extra money for himself. While Yama and Samuel are in town, a crowd gathers to hear Jesus speak. Jesus see Zacchaeus sitting up in a tree watching all the activity. Jesus invites him to come down from the tree and then talks with him about what he has done and how cheating people hurts them and the cheater. Just a Little While
This story is a metaphor of the Christian Life. The acorn stands for when the person is a baby. The sapling stands for when the person has grown into childhood. The full grown tree stands for when the person is an adult. The fallen branch and birds nest shows that God still cares for the person even though they have not yet trusted in Jesus as their Savior. The fallen tree being made into a table stands for when the person has trusted in Jesus as their Savior. The old man (tree) has passed away and their new life in Christ (table) has just begun. At the end of the story the table is damaged and becomes a lazy Susan, which stands for when the person has died and is now living in their eternal state with God.

God’s Brilliant Shining Star
As the principal of the school, I care for all my students and I wrote this book to make them realize how wonderful they are. Students come to school with lots of different issues, traumas and anxiety and my hope is to bring them joy and build their self esteem so their mental well-being strategies are good and they develop a great relationship with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who loves them unconditionally and is always by their side believing they are his Brilliant Shining Stars. This story is intended to be read to children and therefore indirectly, my secondary audience is parents! Adults have incredibly busy and stressful lives and they should be reminded that whether or not God is a part of their lives, that they are LOVED and a brilliant shining star too. This book should be read over and over as a favourite. It can be brought out when a child has a bad day at school or is hurting after losing a competition. Love can move mountains and families, both children and parents, can use this strategy when they are angry. My intent is to have many books read to children at night and then used as a discussion tool and that is why every book has questions for parents to ask their child at the end of day. Children do not always know what is bothering them, however, discussion questions could lead to solutions and better problem-solving skills....
