Children’s Lala-bies
Children's Lala-bies is poetry for the young child's soul. Every child should be told, from the day they blessed this earth, just how spectacular they are. They deserve to be exposed to the unconditional love we can offer so they can take advantage of the many possibilities life offers. I believe that if a child is told, from early-on, how wonderful they will become, they will believe it and they will develop healthy self-confidence to achieve what their heart desires most. Read this collection of poems to others or to yourself and open your heart to the endless possibilities for your own life. Children's Lala-bies is self-affirming, positive poetry that everyone can "listen" to.

Wild Africa ABC
'Wild Africa ABC' is an ABC picture book of animals from the African Continent with factual little rhymes that can be read at anytime. A little creation that will appeal to the young and the young at heart. I am an illustrator and visual artist and have created all the art work and written the little rhymes that accompany each animal and also researched the little facts for each animal that appears in this book. It has been a true labour of love. Also in a small way I wanted to put some focus on African animals in particular as many of the species are on endangered lists. This is mostly due to poaching, urban sprawl and legal trophy hunting. I hope that by inspiring an appreciation and love for these animals and also learning some facts about their daily lives, both children and those that read to them will join me in voicing their concern for the welfare not just of these amazing sentient creatures but also for their natural habitats. I hope that you enjoy this book as much as I have loved creating it. x

All the Things You Could Be
Children love to dream of what they'll be when they grow up, and there are so many jobs to choose from! For instance, they could be astronauts, teachers, doctors or athletes. Indeed, they could travel to outer space, and they could also use those energies of bravery and adventure in so many different ways. Or like the teacher, the energies of patience and kindness can be implemented in every area of life. What if, children could use their natural gifts, energies, and talents to do what comes easy to them, and brings them the most joy? In this delightful and inspiring poem, written for children five years and older, Leanne Pastor encourages children to do what comes naturally, as living true to oneself leads to a fuller, more joy-filled life. As the poem reminds us, you can be and do anything you choose. Just remember, you can always change your mind, and, when in doubt, always follow your joy! No matter, whether you're 5 or 40, it is never too late to be happy. The most important thing in life is to be yourself and do what brings you joy! Joy has a ripple effect, and when you enjoy what you do, you'll become the invitation for others to choose joy. In this way, "All the Things You Could Be" is about building, person by person, a kinder and happier world....

He is the troll who lives beneath the floorboards of the princess's room, and he is angry that everybody is so loud and having more fun than he. One day, he puts a mean spell on the princess's hair that turns it into a hideous mess, and instead of butterflies, terrifying beasts come out of it!Both the troll and the princess are very unhappy, but one day they meet each other. Worldview Guide for The Canterbury Tales
"Spring has arrived, prompting folks from all stations of medieval life to pilgrimage together to the shrine of Thomas Becket. Because long trips tend to be rather dull, the travelers begin a storytelling competition featuring roosters, murders, bewitched hags, banished wives in barrels, plenty of adulterers, a whole host of churchmen, and a frying pan whisked to hell." Each Worldview Guide presents the big picture (both the good and the bad) without neglecting the details. Finger Lickin?Barbecue
As a child, my father used to yell at me whenever I would lick the barbecue sauce off my fingers at the dinner table. He would say that it was rude and not proper table etiquette. He went on to tell me that when my hands get messy with any kind of sauce or food, I should wipe it on the napkin. So for a while, I listened to my father; but when I noticed how the napkin was getting all the good sauce, I once again started to lick my fingers. And I noticed people looking at me weird and my father getting angry once again. But I decided that I didn't care what people thought about me at the dinner table. I knew that the sauce was good, and I wasn't going to waste it on a napkin, so I continued to lick my fingers. I was going to be myself no matter who was watching. And one day, I decided that when I fall in love, I wanted a girl who would be my finger lickin' barbecue. A girl who wasn't scared or ashamed to be herself in a room full of strangers. A woman who loved the way God made her and was comfortable in her own skin. Finger Lickin' Barbecue is a book for all ages (one to ninety-nine) who need the daily reminder that it is quite okay to be yourself.

Imperfect
Why an anthology about mistakes? Because we make mistakes all the time. Some are the size of erasing a hole in your paper, mispronouncing a word, or tripping over your shoelace. Some are the size of telling a friend's secret. Some can be useful, like a science experiment that goes wrong but gives you a new idea. How can we make the most of the good mistakes and do our best to fix the ones that need fixing? Poetry can help us figure it out.

From funny to sweet, silly to sincere, the lyrics of Mister Rogers explore such universal topics as feelings, new siblings, everyday life, imagination, and more. Through these songs--as well as endearing puppets and honest conversations--Mister Rogers instilled in his young viewers the values of kindness, self-awareness, and self-esteem. But most of all, he taught children that they are loved, just as they are. Perfect for bedtime, sing-along, or quiet time alone, this beautiful book of meaningful poetry is for every child--including the child inside of every one of us.
Grandpa’s Children’s Stories
In this day of technology, children can get on their electronic devices and read stories on their own. However, this method eliminates the parent-child bonding process. These stories were written to allow parents and children to share the opportunity to go into the world of imagination for a brief time and share the precious moments. They are short stories, so they allow for the imagination to take over for a brief period. They were written so that even those with demanding schedules, even single parents, are allowed the time to share some precious moments with their children. My hope is that all will enjoy them, with imagination, and escape into the world of creativity that imagination brings. Imagination, after all, is the catalyst to creativity and invention.

Shout
A New York Times bestseller and one of 2019's best-reviewed books, a poetic memoir and call to action from the award-winning author of Speak, Laurie Halse Anderson! Bestselling author Laurie Halse Anderson is known for the unflinching way she writes about, and advocates for, survivors of sexual assault. Now, inspired by her fans and enraged by how little in our culture has changed since her groundbreaking novel Speak was first published twenty years ago, she has written a poetry memoir that is as vulnerable as it is rallying, as timely as it is timeless. In free verse, Anderson shares reflections, rants, and calls to action woven between deeply personal stories from her life that she's never written about before. Described as "powerful," "captivating," and "essential" in the nine starred reviews it's received, this must-read memoir is being hailed as one of 2019's best books for teens and adults. A denouncement of our society's failures and a love letter to all the people with the courage to say #MeToo and #TimesUp, whether aloud, online, or only in their own hearts, SHOUT speaks truth to power in a loud, clear voice-- and once you hear it, it is impossible to ignore.
Boom! Bellow! Bleat!
This playful collection of poems--peppered with an astounding variety of animal sounds--is meant to be read aloud together. These poems for two or more voices explore the myriad sounds animals make--from a frog's jug-o-rum to a fish's boom! to an elephant's bark. Laced with humor, the poems are a delight to read aloud and cover all major classes of animals: mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, insects, even a crustacean! Readers will learn how to estimate the temperature by counting a cricket's chirps and see how creatures make sounds at specific pitches and frequencies, so that they can be heard despite other noise around them. Extensive end notes provide more information on the animals and how and why they make the sounds they do. Written by noted children's poet Georgia Heard, this is an ideal collection for parents and children to share, or for a fun, interactive classroom read-aloud.
