Kings of the World
The galaxy is on the brink of war and only four dysfunctional, hormone-driven teenagers from Earth stand in its way. God help us all. Cooper Simpson can't believe his luck when an otherwise crappy day ends with an invitation to join the International Galactic Council. As Earth's first leader on the interstellar body, he figures it's got to be better than the pressures of home and troubles at school. Unfortunately, it doesn't him take long to realise space can also suck the big one. The other races look down on humanity, danger and death lurk around every moon, and then there's Earth's other councillors - best mate The Ginge, who has a tenuous grip on reality, plus the last two people he would ever voluntarily spend time with - cowardly Pete and school thug Knuckles, who prefers to punch first and ask questions later. The lads might have the fate of the world in their hands, but at first they're more interested in cute alien girls and a machine that can literally create anything they want - including limitless free pizza. It sounds perfect. But as they delve deeper into council politics, they discover a conspiracy that threatens to tear the galaxy apart. With the world on the brink of war it's up to them to save the day. Whatever the outcome, life will never be the same again. Praise for Starship Dorsano Chronicles: Kings of the World "A fantastic debut book that is targeted at teenage boys but which will entertain a much wider audience." The Advertiser "I laughed aloud at several points and thoroughly enjoyed the whole read." Indie Ebook Review "A fast-paced geekfest of sound and light." Andrew Wright

The boy gravely tells him not to open the door, then closes Athan in.Outside the door, the party descends into chaos. Through hours of howls, laughter, and sobs, Athan stays hidden. When he finally emerges, he discovers a massacre where the corpses appear to have arranged themselves into a disturbingly elegant sculpture-and Athan's mysterious savior is nowhere to be found. Athan-the only known survivor-is now the primary suspect. In a race to prove his innocence, Athan is swept up in a supernatural mystery, one of secret occult societies and deadly eldritch horrors with rather distinctive taste. Why Did the Cheese Cross the Road?
How many 'wheys' can cheese make us laugh? A favorite food around the world, makers of cheese must have learned long ago that their work had a comedic life of its own! This is nowhere more evident than when you unite cheese with word play. For, in addition to being a marvelous product shared by cheeseheads seemingly everywhere, an increasingly valuable by-product of cheese making is whey. Indeed, when you combine cheesey cheese jokes with other word play and mix in some cheesey geography - as I do here to illustrate cheese's international scope - you find that you soon have a chapter on 'whey' itself (not to mention its cousins in the name of cheese humor, 'way' and 'weigh'). So as I serve up the funny side of cheese here, don't simply "say cheese." Rather, please remember to let yourself laugh - and laugh lots because one good cheese joke deserves another!

We Don't Eat Our Neighbors
In this laugh-out-loud picture book perfect for fans of Lyle the Crocodile and Dragons Love Tacos, an alligator family runs into trouble when their son can't seem to curb his appetite for their new human neighbors. "A fun and surprising classic picture book appeal threaded with a subversive and sometimes macabre laugh-out-loud text. It's James Marshall meets Edward Gorey!" --Matthew Cordell, Caldecott Medalist After Libby and Herbert Alligator's mom lands her dream job as a pastry chef, the family is moving on up out of the slimy swamp and into a bustling town filled with houses, restaurants, schools . . . and people. Libby can't wait to meet the new neighbors. Herbert can't wait to eat them. And that's not okay with the folks in the neighborhood, who most certainly do not want to become alligator food. Is there a way for Herbert to fit in while remaining true to who he really is? With a little help from his mom, maybe he can have his friends . . . and eat them, too. From author-illustrator Daniel J. Mahoney, We Don't Eat Our Neighbors is a witty, heartfelt story about family, fitting in, and finding happiness in a new community.

Crushing It
From debut author Erin Becker comes an action-packed but tender novel about first romance, queer identity, and learning how to be brave when it matters the most. On the soccer field, Magic Mel is in her element. She's ready to lead her team to victory at the city championship in her new role as captain. Off the field, however, is a totally different story. Mel can't get a handle on her class presentation, her friend group has completely dissolved, and her ex-friend-current-teammate, Tory, is being the worst. The only place she feels like herself is in her text conversations where she shares her secret poetry with BTtoYouPlease. Tory McNally, on the other hand, is keeping everything together, thank you very much. So what if her mom is more preoccupied with her craft projects and new husband than her, or that she's down to one IRL friend because of annoying, overly peppy "Magic" Mel? She's perfectly fine, and even when she maybe isn't, she's got NotEmilyD to text with. As the championships loom closer, everything around Mel and Tory starts to get more and more complicated: the dynamics on the field, the rift between their friend group, and, as they connect anonymously online, maybe even their feelings for each other . . .
Chopping Spree
Eden Hills, Minnesota, is famous for two things: its lucrative, '80s-inspired fashion mall, and a missing-persons epidemic that has plagued the town's youth and confounded officials for years. High school junior Penny has grown skeptical of the town's official stance on the disappearances but has so far kept that to herself. See, she just started her first-ever job at one of the mall's trendiest stores and doesn't want to sound like a conspiracy nut to her cool friends and the popular guy who might just help her get over the dream girl who broke her heart. But when a late-night party in the mall turns deadly, Penny won't have the luxury of playing it cool. A killer is on the loose, and the dark history of Eden Hills is about to be revealed.
