Storm Over Jerusalem

It's an echo of the prophecy spoken by Jesus when He wept over Jerusalem on His way to the cross. But also adventure, hatred and greed...When Silla decides to stay in Jerusalem to care for her sick father, several other Christians choose to stay as well. The increasingly desperate circumstances stimulate discussions on the question whether Jesus of Nazareth was an imposter, or indeed the true Messiah of His people.Navigating his way through all these events is Kish, a remarkable Jew, and his donkey...

Then one night Mary discovers Olive, her cousin who has been hidden away in an attic room for years due to a "nervous condition." The girls become fast friends, and Mary wonders why this big-hearted girl is being kept out of sight and fed medicine that only makes her feel sicker. When Olive's domineering stepmother returns to the manor, it soon becomes clear that something sinister is going on. With the help of a charming, intoxicatingly vivacious Metis girl named Sophie, Mary begins digging further into family secrets both wonderful and horrifying to figure out how to free Olive. Jahohora and First Day
A tale within a tale, Jahohora and First Day retells the Herero creation story in English and Otjiherero. The first in a series of children's books taken from the childhood scenes in Mari Serebrov's historical novel Mama Namibia, it celebrates traditional Herero culture and family. With culturally accurate context, Namibian artist Romeo Sinkala brings life to the words through his desert landscapes and depictions of all creation emerging from the sacred omumborombonga tree.*****Author's Note: Following the publication of my historical novel, Mama Namibia, which tells the story of the Herero and Nama genocide at the hands of the German military and colonists in the early 1900s, my Tate, then Paramount Chief Kuaima Riruako, encouraged me to write a series of children's books based on Jahohora's story from the first chapters of Mama Namibia. Reflecting years of research involving Tate and his conversations with some of the last survivors of the genocide, those chapters are rooted in traditional Herero culture and show the importance of family in Herero life. They also provide a glimpse of a culture that was forever changed by the genocide. Tate's wish was to keep the memory of that culture alive, as much as possible, for future generations.

My dear sister Janet . . . It is 2:00 in the morning and most of our men are asleep in their dugouts -- yet I could not sleep myself before writing to you of the wonderful events of Christmas Eve. In truth, what happened seems almost like a fairy tale, and if I hadn't been through it myself, I would scarce believe it. Just imagine: While you and the family sang carols before the fire there in London, I did the same with enemy soldiers here on the battlefields of France!"The Christmas Truce of 1914 is one of the most extraordinary incidents not only of World War I but of all history. Providing inspiration for songs, books, plays, and movies, it has endured as an archetypal image of peace. Jezebel
Now, if you thought just because the title of this book is Jezebel, it is about you know who, I've some good and bad news for you, which one do you want first? Okay, bad news it is. At least, until this protagonist silences the little voice in her head that keeps telling her to conform and be ordinary, she will not be able to create a story worth telling. The good news is she has the potential but not before she untangles the web of murder mystery ensnaring her. That said, this reclusive protagonist, preferring the crisp logic of technology over the societal rules that do not serve her, does not only find solace in the digital realm, but she also devises an AI to aid her in understanding the mysteries of the ancient Egyptian society. This is until deceased bodies are discovered bearing tattoos of the symbols she had coded into the AI, giving her mundane life a whole new spin. What does she do? Well, we all know debug is not a pill available in drug stores, so she delves further into the technology and the new places it opens for her, every line of code she deciphers and every ancient rule she unravels, drawing her closer to a reality more startling than she could have ever envisioned. Except, the path to vindication becomes burdened with ancient rules encapsulated in a sacred book she must adhere to before she is able to debug the AI. Join Jezebel in a journey unbounded by time and space where she encounters the good and evil of the ancient world, and who is best to do it with but the historical and mythical figures she meets along the way!

Tribes of people hunting Nature's bounty wandered free and exuberant in the glory of Earth and Sky. In the 21st century, Tim and Phil journeyed into the wilds of Oregon. Being experienced outdoorsmen, they thought they knew about the nature of hunting and fishing in the fields and streams of America. I Love America!
America is the most wonderful experiment ever conducted on the frontlines of freedom. Freedom...a revolutionary concept that was once thought to be a preposterous dream and impossible goal. The earliest Americans proved however, that "freedom for all", was attainable, as long as they could set aside their differences, and come together to fight for one noble cause. The challenge we face in our continued fight for freedom has changed, however. It has moved from war rooms and battlefields, to a fight for the hearts and minds of our children. It is my sincerest hope that this book will serve as a simple conversation starter, in homes and classrooms across America. We need to be reminded of who we are as Americans, and we need to teach our children who they are, what rights belong to each and every one of them, and what they can do to protect them.

The Falls
Target age 9 to 13 and readers over 50. It wasn't her choice to go. But from the moment the bush plane splashed down on the Alaskan lake, there was no turning back for 11-year-old Monty. Her widowed father's job brought them to the edge of wilderness. Her journey that summer of 1953 would take her through rugged terrain, dangerous wildlife and unlikely friendships to the wonder and mystery beyond the Falls. Life at the camp at Brooks River comes with constant contradiction. The more beautiful and interesting something is, the more likely it is to be dangerous. Nothing embodies that more than the Falls. As the only child at the fishing camp, Monty endeavors to make friends, both human and wild animal, while fending off bullies. She learns from her new friend, Mrs. Devon, that even though the plants in the fields are beautiful, some of them are poisonous. Mr. Charles teachers her to appreciate the animals who live at camp but also to respect their power to put her in peril at any moment. But not all the adults at the camp at Brooks River are eager to warn Monty of potential dangers. One fishing guide named Doyle does not think children belong at a fishing camp and is determined to prove it. Through her own loss, Monty is familiar with the harshness of life. She witnesses the fish struggle to survive the bears as they, in turn, struggle to survive the coming winter. Monty and her father come to grips with risk, loss, and life on their Alaskan adventure.

It was a Tuesday afternoon and Thirsty the goldfish had died. I was very sad, but what was worse, far worse, was that I was told that one day I was also going to die! This little unwelcome piece of information really put a spin on my world and the way I looked at it. I started not liking life so much as I once had. I watched how others reacted differently to this piece of information. It stays with us like a hovercraft just beyond the ears and years and flamingo-coloured fears. All of this will one day be over. It makes us do strange things, this hovercraft. My hovercraft is magenta. How was I going to get all the way back to loving life, whilst also living beside this hovercraft?Always Rose is the fourth of five books in the Past Life Library series where the girl becomes the author: Clare-Rose Trevelyan. It is filled with philosophical questions and journal prompts. The related music album, found on all major streaming platforms, includes 3 instrumental tracks for you to make your own songs with.Look out for the Everything-World Blankish Journal, an accompanying storytelling and philosophical activity book where Clare-Rose Trevelyan goes deeper into exploring the questions of BELIEF woven throughout this story.
