Using simple English, Intercultural Communication for English Learners offers an introduction to the basic concepts in intercultural communication. The goal is to develop basic-to-intermediate-level English learners’ capacity to communicate with the world, particularly with other nonnative English speakers; in other words, English as a lingua franca (ELF). Students develop an open-minded worldview and a life-long learning attitude while improving their intercultural communicative competence.
This book includes:
● Concepts explained in simple English with lots of graphs, pictures and tables
● Translation and definitions provided for difficult vocabulary
● Practical communication strategies, concrete ways to use English, stimulating questions to provoke attitude changes, and real cases

本書針對台灣學習英文之學生，以簡單的英文解釋跨文化溝通的主要議題，目標希望學生能用基礎到中階的英文來和世界溝通，尤其是和其他非英語系國家人士，以英語為共通語的方式做溝通。本書提供實用的溝通技巧、英語使用方式、心態調整及實際例子來增進跨文化溝通能力，用簡單易懂的英文搭配圖表及練習題，來改變視角與世界觀，進而擁有開放及不停學習的心態，而這正是跨文化溝通的核心。
