Addiction, Depression, Mushrooms and Me is an introspective look at my journey into the world of psychedelic therapy to help me cope, battle, and conquer my Addiction, Depression, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
I was a chronic daily pot user/binge drinker, alcoholic for seventeen years, and an addict for thirty years, trying to get sober. Suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after a car accident in 2004, I was constantly stoned for most of my life until I finally had enough. After a lifetime of doctor-recommended rehabs, therapies, and anti-depressants that didn't work, I decided to take my recovery into my own hands, to try to get sober and help with my PTSD. After a brief conversation in passing about psychedelic therapy and micro-dosing psychedelics, I decided to look into it and see what it was all about.
For the next year and a half of my life, I learned everything I could about psychedelics and psychedelic therapies, in particular, psilocybin mushrooms. I researched their biology; I learned their history and I even became an amateur mycologist growing a couple of batches. Then, after taking a life-changing mega ten-gram psilocybin mushroom trip to help me with my addiction, depression, and PTSD, I was finally able to be free and clean of any substances and found sobriety.
'Addiction, Depression, Mushrooms and Me' is my journey down the rabbit hole of psychedelics and psychedelic therapy. I have come clean about my life filled with Addiction, Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and how I finally achieved a happy and sober life using psychedelics. Sobriety and happiness was something I never thought possible for myself. You may think that a happy, sober life may be something that is impossible for yourself, but psychedelics made it possible for me, and they could make it possible for you too.
