The tale features unusual protagonists and astonishing creatures facing unique complications and problems from a sideways viewpoint. Quick overview Born with a photographic memory, Kanok Sure Strike recalls every moment of his life, even the scent and taste of his mother's womb. But in a world where people battle reoccurring memory loss, his skills arouse the greed of jealous leaders, forcing him to overcome pride and conceal his expanding skill-set. In a race against time, he partners with Nadacloak Long Reach, an inexperienced shadow-reader. However, neither youth is prepared for an encounter with an off-world killer and a suicidal genius struggling to hold fast to the last residues of her mental stability. The question is, can two troubled teens, a skilled assassin, and a woman infected with a deadly mental virus come together long enough to save a dying world? Note to readers. This story includes a rapist, as well as many characters that may come across as insensitive to mental illnesses.
