In "Adventure Awaits," Simon has composed 13 new original intermediate level piano solos that range in style from contemporary, classical, and new age, to a cinematic, score-like sound, intermixed with pop and rock elements, rhythms, themes, and characteristics. This piano music is ideal for intermediate level piano students. Throughout the book, students play intermediate level piano music that sounds and appears more advanced than it really is. Simon creates compelling melodies around familiar chord progressions. Students will enjoy playing ascending and descending triplets, blocked and broken octave intervals, and octave chords. Within the music, students will see how Simon incorporates familiar chords and scales in a new and exciting way.
