內容簡介
Fish Diseases and Management focuses on the important diseases of commercially important cultivable finfish and shellfishes, their diagnosis and control measures. This book deals with the general information and significance of diseases in relation to aquaculture, host pathogen interaction, diseases development in fish and shellfish, stress and disease occurrence due to the water quality parameters. It also explains about the bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic pathogens and their relative significance to aquaculture. This book has separate sections dedicated on strategies for health management which deals with immune system of fish and shrimp, different types of vaccines and routes of application. Eco - friendly control measures like the use of diffrent types of immunostimulants and probiotics used in aquaculture are also discussed.
