At the same time, they are afraid of the surrounding people who hear them mention the suffering inflicted by the spirit against them. Vicarius Animae
Within the vast corpus of the works of C.G. Jung is a paper titled, "Psychotherapists or the Clergy." Apropos of the case Jung makes in that text with respect to what therapists to their betterment have learnt from their colleagues in the clergy, the term that provides the title for this essay-Vicarius Animae-is a designation intended to highlight the soul-mediating, truth-discerning function of the psychotherapist by means of an allusion to the vicarius role that priests have traditionally had within the Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches as pastoral facilitators of the cure of souls, and Popes as the representatives of Christ on this earth. Whereas, formerly, throughout the aeons in which these religions held sway, soul (in the sense of the logic of human being-in-the world) had had the form of God, its mediator the form of priest, in our day, post mortem dei, soul has come to have the form of psychological phenomena, its mediator the form of analyst and psychotherapist. In keeping with this, the meaning of the term "Speculative" in the subtitle of this volume is roughly analogous to the meaning that "speculation" and "speculative" had formerly had within the tradition of the Speculative Philosophy to which Hegel belonged. Though Jung, as is well-known, had repeatedly expressed antipathy toward Hegel, even dubbing him on one occasion a "psychologist manqu矇," subsequent Jungian scholarship has clearly shown that the contributions Hegel made to the speculative philosophy of his day fit hand-in-glove with Jung's great insight into psychology's lack of a vantage point outside the psyche to view in from objectively. In this essay, implications for Jungian psychotherapy of this complementarity are explored by means of a focus upon occasions in which, interpreting boldly, the analytic psychotherapist is inspired to give interpretive utterance to the soul situation of the patient by saying "I ..." on his or her behalf. Such "vicarius I-statements," as these may also be called, are not concocted by the therapist. Neither are they given out by him or her as a matter of technique. When authentic, they rather have phenomenon character and are the spontaneous expression in "the form of subject" of what Jung variously referred to as "the coming to consciousness of the psychic process," "the soul's speaking about itself," and "interpretation from above ..."

Counselling the Abused Christian Woman
This book sets out a simple guide for counsellors to help an abused woman move from being a victim to taking control of her life and relationships. First the woman is helped to understand if her positive personality traits such as hopefulness and deep empathy have resulted in her missing potential warning signs in an abusive relationship. We then move on to determine whether the person abusing the woman has features of a personality disorder. Such individuals are often abusive because of their unhealthy beliefs and attitudes towards others. If this is the case then the woman needs to let go of the hope that she can change her abuser as well as the guilt she may be carrying for the relationship not working. Other unhealthy past relationships are explored and these include her parents or other family members which may have predisposed her to tolerate abusive behaviour. The next stage includes educating the woman about practical strategies of assertiveness to deal with the abusers in her life. Throughout the sessions we provide her with the compassion of a listening ear, and validation for her courage. We help her understand that even though she has not received the love she had hoped for, she is still a beloved worthwhile child of God. She is then able to make a decision as to whether to stay in the abusive relationship or leave. In either case the goal is for her to take control of her life, deal assertively with the unhealthy people who are abusing her and learn how to choose healthy friends and become a healthy person herself.

Beethoven and the Musical Archetypes
The sound of each Germinal Idea is at the core of projected thought, because, by human biology, this sound originates in the nature of the psyche. Therefore, in the nature of the psyche there are different sounds that manifest themselves through archetype because each archetype is alive and is relatively autonomous. Some of these archetypes are independent and stand out in the sphere of human consciousness, e.g., the Ego, the persona, the anima, the animus, the shadow, the Self, the old sage, the personality etc. The sounds of archetype can be found in the original myths, in the most varied regions with their religions and rites; however, they are revitalized by the ancient legends that are part of the collective cultural baggage. Each sound is singular in the subconscious or personal unconscious. For example, the sound of each archetype is identified with the maternal figure, the image of the father, the child, the hero, the divine, the personality, etc., because these sounds constitute immaterial manifestations that model psychic-quantum events in the nature of the psyche, through its two layers: the collective unconscious and the personal unconscious. As we are in a time of profound psychic and spiritual transformations, it becomes necessary to learn and open the mind to different realities, in different space-times in the nature of the psyche, from common sense to quantum physics. For example, it is necessary to analyze the quantification of sounds in the nature of the psyche, which originate in and from the psychic-quantum process of archetypes in the human system; however, instead of researching and analyzing only objects and phenomena in the Physical World, that is, of measurable objects from preschool to PhD. However, when the power of the Archetypal Forces that govern visible and invisible objects is reached, it is possible to apprehend Ludwig van Beethoven's Sublime Nine Symphonies. Therefore, when this stage is reached it is possible to observe that the nature of the psyche is being modified by the sounds of the Music of the Spheres.
