He loved me NOT!

Lulu.com 出版
2025/02/27 出版

He loved me NOT! is a true story of how the author endured years of narcissistic abuse behind the closed doors of her seemingly happy home. Inside, life was a ring around the rosy of extreme trauma that no woman should ever endure. Nobody would know her fear or the torment that she experieced, as she was silenced in shame and brokenness. Laying in bed at night, her abuser sleeping beside her, she hid herself with pen and paper by writing her feelings in journals. Through her journaling, she opened a doorway to her worthiness, to true love, and to divine healing. She met Jesus and with Him, in the midst of the chaos and confusion that life with a narcissist brings, she found the strength and courage to move forward. He loved me NOT! is her story...

How to Love Better

Yung,Pueblo  著
Harmony 出版
2025/02/25 出版

NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER - The beloved author of Lighter offers a blueprint for deepening your compassion, kindness, and gratitude so you can truly grow in harmony with another person and build stronger connections in all your relationships. "A beautiful offering from the heart, to the heart."--Elizabeth Gilbert "Yung Pueblo holds a mirror to the relationships we have and offers clear directions to the relationships we desire."--Simon Sinek "How to Love Better is destined to change your life."--Lena Waithe "Everyone enters relationships with imperfections and negative patterns that block the flow of love, but when you embrace growth, the new harmony within you will flow into your relationship." Love enters our lives in many forms: friends, family, intimate partners. But all of these relationships are deeply influenced by the love we have for ourselves. If we see our relationships as opportunities to be fully present in our healing and growth, then, Yung Pueblo assures us, we can transform and meet one another with compassion instead of judgment. In How to Love Better, Yung Pueblo examines all aspects of relationships, from the rose-colored early days when you may be hesitant to show your full self, to the challenges that can arise without clear communication, to dealing with heartbreak and healing as you close a chapter of your life. The power of looking inward remains at the core of Yung Pueblo's teachings. Ego and attachment can become barriers in a relationship, so the more self-aware you become, the more you can support both your partner and yourself. How to Love Better includes: - How to build harmony in a relationship- How to see each other's perspective- How to find the right partner- How to heal from heartbreak- How to overcome attachment- How to form commitments- How to argue Yung Pueblo's insights on embracing change, building a foundation of honesty, and learning to listen selflessly will resonate regardless of where you are in your healing journey. And his unique combination of poetry, personal experience, and thoughtful advice will help you grow and strengthen all of your relationships.

The Power of Parting

Eamon,Dolan  著
G.P. 出版
2025/02/20 出版

A myth-shattering, inspiring book that combines research, reportage, and memoir to explore the growing phenomenon of estrangement from toxic relatives--showing it not as a tragedy, but as an empowering and effective solution to the heartbreak of family abuse. After decades of enduring his mother's physical and psychological torment, after years of trying in vain to set boundaries, Eamon Dolan took a radical step: he cut his mother out of his life. No more phone calls, no more visits, no more contact. Parting with his abuser gave him immediate relief and set him on a path toward freedom, confidence, and joy like none he had ever felt before. In The Power of Parting, Dolan has written the book he wishes he'd had when he was struggling to free himself from his mother's abuse. In the process, he discovered how widespread estrangement really is. At least 27 percent of Americans are estranged from a parent, sibling, or other family member. He also learned why so much stigma surrounds this common--and often lifesaving--phenomenon. Even among therapists--the professionals who would seem most attuned to the pain relatives can inflict--there's a bias toward reconciliation, when millions of their patients need instead to escape their abusers' grip. Estrangement, Dolan realized, should be understood and embraced, not shrouded in shame. Drawing on his own suffering and healing, as well as experts' advice and the testimony of other courageous survivors, Dolan first explains why abuse is much different and more prevalent than we may think, how it harms us in childhood and beyond, and why limiting or eliminating contact might be our best possible choice. Then, he walks readers through the steps of a successful, positive estrangement: how to take crucial time for yourself; how to make sure no one can gaslight you into minimizing or forgetting; how to set rules for your abuser and--if they can't or won't respect your limits--how to end a toxic relationship. He also offers valuable counsel on how to ease the guilt and grief that often accompany parting, and how to break the cycle of abuse that was likely passed down to you through many generations. With a convincing blend of clarity and empathy, Dolan encourages others to do what he ultimately did for himself: determine whether the people in your life treat you with the care and concern you deserve--and part ways with them if they don't.

Then an Angel Came

Carol,Gino  著
Aaha! Books LLC 出版
2025/02/15 出版

Their hour of darkness...became a journey into the Light. They were a three-generation Italian American family steeped in traditional values. Carol Gino's old world father was a stern disciplinarian who loved opera and polkas; her mother a shy, tradition-bound housewife, while Carol herself had made a spiritual journey away from her Catholic roots. But nothing in the Gino family's past could ever have prepared them for the tragedy that would change all their lives forever. For Carol it began with a phone call in the middle of the night; a call that brought unbearable news. Her grandchild, her daughter's infant son, had died in his own crib of SIDS. Within hours, Carol was on a plane from California, returning home to the family who needed her more than ever. After the initial shock, the members of Carol's family each coped with the death in their own way. Carol's father in stony silence, Teri's husband with silent Gregory tears, Carol's bereaved daughter, Teri, in rages against God. The baby's sister, Jessie, with the innocence of a child. Then, as the family grappled with the loss, the inexplicable heartbreak of SIDS, and the need to go on with their lives, a new voice began to speak among them. It was a voice that offered answers and more questions, comfort and more challenges. It was the voice of an angel. In this unforgettable true story, Carol chronicles the miraculous appearance of an angel named Janith who came to speak through Carol's daughter. Meeting resistance and skepticism first, Janith slowly began to win over the grieving family as she showed them all a reality they had never before perceived, an interconnectedness that would explain the inexplicable and show a way into the future. In a remarkable series of sessions, Janith leads a shattered family through more pain and loss to the ultimate revelation and a truly miraculous rebirth.A book that explores some of the most profound questions about our lives, Then An Angel Came is a book of miracles rooted in the everyday reality of all our lives, a book of extraordinary, uplifting hope for all those whose hearts are open to miracles.
