Is. 55:11 and Heb. 4:12 Having served in the military and everyday life living you are exposed to many dangerous situations and I am so glad that I had the Almighty God to lean on. During my tenure in the military I noticed that some soldiers had no spiritual knowledge or wisdom, so I filled that void in some cases. Furthermore, when you believe and trust in God, He will always have your back. Is.52:12.

Journeying Towards Faith
'The glory of God is a human being fully alive.' - Irenaeus of Smyrna The seven chapters in this book take seriously these celebrated words of Irenaeus. Confessing the Incarnation of Jesus of Nazareth, their underlying assumption is that Jesus did not come to offer us a particular way of being religious, but a universal way of being human. The author believes that the Incarnation - which says as much about the mystery of being human as about the mysterious purposes of God - is a central impetus for him in his spiritual life journey towards fullness of life and freedom. For the author, Jesus is the parable of God, who challenges us towards a richer and larger life. Through parables, Jesus raises more questions than answers; and teaches us that our experience of God is not a subject's grasp of something 'out there', but will always be a lived experience from within ourselves. It is here, in the secret and hidden place of our hearts, where God speaks to us, and where we discover that 'there are answers we are the solution to'. As Pascal saw: 'The heart has its reasons which reason doesn't know about'.The book is an invitation to become more fully alive and more fully human. It is out of the reality of our everyday lives - and in the context of our wounded and wounding world - where we can hear, through the questions Jesus asks, the call and challenge to have our thinking about ourselves, prayer, and our relationship with God, utterly transformed.

How to Use the Science of Mind
Everything You Need to Know about How to Use One of Today's Most Powerful Philosophies! "We go in search of that which we already possess, but are not using." So says Ernest Holmes, author of THE SCIENCE OF MIND and founder of the philosophy of Religious Science. God is not far away, but is within ourselves, other people, and everywhere present. Why then, do we fall prey to unwanted conditions - illness, financial lack, relationship difficulties, loneliness and problems of every kind? Written as a manual for the practical applications of the principles set forth in The Science of Mind, this book takes the original philosophy of "change your thinking, change your life," and explains a clear and definite scientific method of prayer that can help you overcome life's obstacles.
Recalibrating the Heart and Mind Back to God
Recalibration is the way God frees and propels us to fulfill the destiny that the enemy once stole. Being recalibrated is more than repenting and apologizing to God; it is a process of pruning, chastening, and testing that will prove the believer to be strong in the Lord to resist Satan. In Recalibrating the Heart and Mind Back to God, author Tammie Eyvette Monroe examines the vulnerability of every believer in Christ Jesus to make wrong turns and poor decisions to live in iniquity and falter on their God-given assignment. Even so, God is faithful and redirects and recalibrates our direction so that we can fulfill the destiny that God has chosen for us from the earth's foundation. Monroe considers the spiritual ramifications of sin and how it negatively influences our lives, going beyond recognizing the effects sin brings and dealing with the resulting pull away from God. She also explores what it takes to be recalibrated to the Father and how it can change your life. Using God's Word as a tool of deliverance, this guide teaches believers how to overcome and overthrow the enemy from every area of their lives through different types of prayer and the use of the Word of God as a weapon.

Enchantment
This book provides an overview of the various ways the concepts enchantment, disenchantment, and re-enchantment have been used both within religious studies scholarship and in related fields. Despite the prevalence of these concepts in recent scholarship, no introductory text on the subject of enchantment has yet been written. The first half of the book provides a concise overview of theoretical work on disenchantment, a critical exploration of empirical evidence for premodern enchantment and modern disenchantment, and an account of how enchantment has been used in scholarly and popular works to mark specific beliefs and practices as unacceptable, dangerous, or delusional. The second half of the book explores recent scholarship on re-enchantment and distinguishes between two main varieties: rational re-enchantment, which involves heightened emotions that are free from negative appraisals of premodern belief in magic and spirits, and spiritual re-enchantment, which involves the recovery of premodern beliefs and practices or the development of new alternative spiritual paths. The final chapter outlines a novel theoretical model for explaining modern enchantment as a variety of playful half-belief. This book will be useful for scholars and students working on a variety of topics including religion in modernity, theories of secularization, conflicts between science and religion, new religious movements, new materialisms, and immanent justifications for environmentalism.
Becoming by Beholding
"A must-read for anyone interested in the relationship of imagination to Christian devotion."--Christianity TodayChristianity Today 2025 Book Award Finalist (Culture, Poetry, and the Arts)Southwestern Journal of Theology 2024 Book Award (Honorable Mention, Discipleship / Spiritual Formation)We tend to think of the imagination as the realm of fantasy and makebelieve. However, the imagination shapes our vision of reality in that the stories, symbols, and places that capture our hearts become part of who we are.Becoming by Beholding restores the imagination to its central role in spiritual formation by recovering key works from the Christian tradition, enabling us to experience the formative power of the imagination for ourselves. It also revives "the art of fashioning the soul" as an essential aspect of Christian spiritual formation and character development.Lanta Davis explains that many of the problems at the heart of the Christian church today--such as nationalism, consumerism, and partisan politics--stem from a crisis of the imagination. She encourages us to reorient our gaze from diseased cultural forms and fix our eyes instead on works from the historic Christian imaginative tradition that better reflect the love, joy, and wonder of the gospel.Becoming by Beholding will appeal to professors and students in spiritual formation, worldview, and theology and arts courses as well as to all Christian readers interested in the intersection of theology and art. Each chapter introduces a different work of the Christian imagination: icons, sacred architecture, imaginative prayer, bestiaries, and personifications of the virtues and vices. The book also includes a twenty-page insert featuring numerous full-color images.

Dear Christian, We Need a Divorce
As one considers the current political and religious atmospheres surrounding us, we're often left wondering how we got here. Many Christians find themselves frustrated with both the state of our nation and the state of the church and wonder what can be done about it. We're at a place we've never been before in our young nation. We're also at a place spiritually that seems unfamiliar. In Dear Christian, We Need a Divorce, author L. V. Primo explores the drift that's occurred, shares an overview of a variety of topics including women's rights, the environment, and immigration; and shows how the causes are both multifactorial and complex. Solution focused, Primo points the lens backward and looks at what's been successful in past generations, offering an indication to what needs to be done to heal the chasm that currently divides us. Dear Christian, We Need a Divorce, takes a hard look at the basic teachings of Jesus Christ and applies them to modern day politics. It reviews the sobering statistics of the church and offers a review of how to return to fundamental teachings.

How My Mind Has Changed (or not)
This book represents the mature reflections of a pastor, theological thinker, church leader and theological educator after a lifetime of writing about and exploring he Christian faith. It remains firmly in the tradition of mainstream and orthodox theology while inhabiting the more radical end of the ecclecial spectrum. It does not seek to be systematic but takes the form of a series of 'blogs' on issues that are the primary concerns of the author, and perhaps of others. It could be of interest to those who hold fast firmly to Christ while wishing to address some of the more debated questions that faith inescapably raises.

"Theodore Richards . . . takes us on an epic journey . . . It is his journey and it is our journey. It is humanity's journey and though it necessarily includes the misery of cruelty and oppression, there is wisdom at work as well . . . Things could be so different. We wandered away from our African origins so many millennia ago, and though we have become lost and confused, the universe leaves clues everywhere. A new beginning is possible, a new feeling of the interconnectedness of all things is before us. Richards takes us on a journey into the edge of the universe which is the edge of the human being which is the edge of God." -Brian Swimme, author of The Universe Story, for Handprints on the Womb
Image of God in the Person of Jesus
Our image of God reveals not only God's character, but our own.Who is Jesus? Is Jesus more immanent (human) or transcendent (divine)? Because we are created in the image of God and Jesus is divine, the church struggles to define Jesus. This impulse can be a genuine attempt to know God better or it can be an insidious attempt to create God in our own image. This struggle is often tinged with a bit of both. The Letter to the Church at Thessalonica was likely the first book written in the New Testament. In a literary sense, the implication is that the Apostle Paul is the father of the New Testament. Paul only knew the Risen Christ and, for him, the divinity of Christ was obvious. By contrast, the Gospels that record the humanity of Christ were written almost a generation later. Thus, the transcendence problem facing postmodern people that fixates on the humanity of Christ is relatively new.My recent book, Image and Illumination (2023), asked the question-What does it mean to be created in the image of God?- focused on Christian anthropology. Embedded in this question is the metaphysical question: Who is God? The New Testament addresses this question with three pictures of God: The person of Jesus, Jesus' teaching about God the Father in the parables, and the founding of the church on Pentecost by the Holy Spirit. In this book, I focus on the Image of God in the Person of Jesus.Hear the Words; Walk the Steps; Experience the Joy!
Uncovering and Recognising Awareness
We have our own unique way to realise who we are, what our purpose is and how to find happiness. The question of 'Who we are inside' or 'Who am I' does not seem important to those who appear to have found happiness in the external world. Because they feel happy, they have no interest in searching further. The question of 'who am I' usually only comes to those who have suffered and who know the answer to finding happiness is somewhere inside. In trying to answer this question of 'who am I, ' first we have to ask and find out 'what we are not.' Eventually we see 'what we are not' is simply our thoughts, our ego. With determined questioning of 'Who' is asking, we may uncover and recognise ourself without thoughts, and see only one thing is left . . . our awareness of our true Self. Blissful though this may be for a time, this state of awareness is only temporary because our thoughts, our ego does not give up trying to hide the true inner Self we have seen and are now intermittently aware of. With continuing effort, uncovering who we are becomes present more of the time during our daily living. The experience of time without thoughts, of just awareness of being, becomes more frequent.

How God Got Mary Pregnant
How God Got Mary Pregnant is a look into the mechanics of how God went about doing a work that was good for humanity when humanity did not even know they needed what He was offering. And how He got Himself into a world that He was basically locked out of by carnal hostile thinking. Your spiritual salvation today is the end result of a long process that took 4000 years to establish and it happen 2000 years ago. God did not have the right to just do what He wanted to do for He had given the earth to mankind. So it was men, dead men, and women He had to work through to get what dead mankind needed into the earth. All the while, the dead men were being swayed as much as possible to think they were not dead and did not need what God was offering by our enemy Satan. I am talking of course of things that are spiritual, things we can't see until we look deep enough into the Bible to see past our doctrinal squabbles. How God got Mary pregnant transcends denominations in that as Christians we believe in Jesus and His finished work, this explains from behind the scenes what transpired to make that work happen.Jeremiah Southerman spent 55 years in the Bible. Being raised in the church and taught to be ready to give an answer to any who asks of the hope within. He has gone through the Bible cover to cover nearly 30 times and consumed parts of it in his study more than 150 times. It is his passion, not his vocation, so he does not have to please a congregation each week nor answer to a denominational headquarters to keep his job. His insight is not regulated by the restrictions of pleasing anyone but God. With no church to run, no tithes needed, no offering plate to pass, he does not depend on tip-toeing on your emotions. With that experience behind him and no threat of losing his job in front of him, he can deliver the truth even if it hurts. Truth that will set you free from the bondage of religion, and direct you into the waiting arms of Jesus and His wonderful Word.
There was only one perfect man who ever lived
It was eccentrically dark as a thunderstorm blew in from the sea. Three crosses were silhouetted against a pitch-black sky. When suddenly the clash of thunder shook the cobblestone streets of the old city of Jerusalem and a flash of lighting cut the sky like a stiletto of fire. The rain poured down in a torrent of expression. Frightened women took their small children by the hand and ran back to the city. Every eye was trained upon the man that hung on the middle cross. They secretly thought, "What will He say?" Then He opened His mouth and instead of spewing vile and venom of hateful vengeance. Jesus spoke of grace, love and forgiveness. A new era had dawned at a place called Calvary.
Tis Mercy All
'Natalie writes with the raw honesty and authenticity... This book will inspire and challenge you to rediscover that mercy is at the heart of our spiritual formation.'Olivia Amartey, ElimIn a world of polarising politics, cancel culture and social media virtue signalling, we risk losing any sense of what it means to have mercy. And yet Jesus calls us to 'be merciful, just as your Father is merciful' (Luke 6.36).In this thoughtful and practical book, Natalie Williams explores what it means to be a true mercy-bringer. First, we need to develop a deep appreciation of the mercy of God, which is more astonishing than we dare to believe. As the old hymn says, 'tis mercy all when it comes to God's dealings with his children. Once we have understood that, it will transform the way we see God, ourselves and the world around us. We will be drawn closer to Jesus and, as a result, we will reflect his mercy to a world that desperately needs it.'Challenging yet encouraging, moving yet refreshing, and theologically rich yet practically accessible.'Andrew Wilson, King's Church London'A much-needed book from an important voice for our times.'Graham Miller, London City MissionContentsIntroductionPart 1: 'A God Merciful'Part 2: Our struggle to 'love mercy'Part 3: Merciful thinkingPart 4: Merciful actionsConclusion

The Secret Teachings of Eden
The Secret Teachings of Eden is one of the most important and unforgettable books you will ever read. The reader will gain insights into the life of the spirit, and the soul in relation to the Cosmos: to re-enkindle his heart, and experience the deep enigmas of existence with the great thinkers of the past. Natural Science arose in the cultural setting of Christian Europe. Those first scientists at the dawn of the modern age, were spiritually trained mystic Monks of Christian Church Natural Science is mysteriously intertwined with the riddles of the Soul, and Christianity. The search for the meaning of life and the soul became bound up with debates over atoms and molecules and ended there. Times changed and the search for the soul was obscured by the uncertainty of the findings of natural science which eventually pervaded everything, including the teachings of Christianity. The Spiritual Body of Man, and his Christology was cast into shadow by the new Light of natural science, and Eden faded into man's dreams. Is there a secret mystery teaching hidden in the discoveries of the natural sciences that relates to the search for the Soul, Man's spiritual body, and the secrets of Christianity? Tazo takes up these threads of thought to reveal a concealed Teaching of the Spirit that goes back to ancient times. Follow along as Tazo shows the hidden connection of the Ancient Teachings to unlock the deepest secrets of the natural world. God's Hidden Places
This is a book written for you. For the part of you who knows there is more to this world than what seems obvious on the surface. For the part of you that is struggling, whether you know yet or not, that you are a unique and integral piece of the whole, of our collective experience. It's in this raw, yet tender account of her life's journey, that Pat speaks to the often punishing and uncomfortable challenges she faced as an indoctrinated catholic and gay woman, whose primary calling in life was always to become a priest. Her story both delights and touches the pangs of kindred wounds within. Leading the reader to a place of healing, she seeds hope, sharing the pearls of wisdom she gained and the road she found to inner peace. The heart of her work (the purpose of this book), is to guide others in the awareness of their own true identity, as divinely created beings whose potentials are infinite, and directly aligned with the principles of this quantum universe.
Worth Celebrating
An unknown author writes an unlikely book and inadvertently sparks an improbable global movement. The manuscript was written longhand on a yellow pad in a small Oregon town by a Quaker pastor describing twelve ancient Christian disciplines (the very definition of the term "unlikely"). But publishers at Harper & Row saw something special in what Richard Foster had written and took a risk. The movement kindled by the book developed slowly, almost imperceptibly. But once it caught hold, it exploded into flame.Celebration of Discipline was conceived during a period in history that Charles Dickens might describe as being the best of times and the worst of times. From its inception, American culture had been linked to Christian faith and values. We were "one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." The 1950s and early '60s saw the peak years of American churchgoing, when 70 percent of citizens attended church. But as the decade of the '60s stretched on, values and perspectives that had long been accepted as foundational to American faith and life began to come into question. When Celebration of Discipline spotlighted the superficiality that had come to characterize Christianity, it ignited the spiritual formation movement by prescribing the ancient spiritual practices as the necessary corrective. Michael Maudlin, religion publisher at HarperCollins, acknowledges, "People do not remember how Christians thought about spiritual formation in Christ before Celebration of Discipline was published. Most everybody now thinks it is natural for evangelicals to practice spiritual Disciplines. But it was not always so. Celebration of Discipline serves as a wonderful window into how a book can change a subculture."This is the story of that book.
Random Walks In Solitude
Random Walks In SolitudeGlimpses of Religion and Spirituality through the Eyes of Modern Science The 'Random Walks in Solitude: Glimpses of Religion and Spirituality through the Eyes of Modern Science' is a collection of articles published by the author since 2006 AD. The topics include some of the most complex and enigmatic subjects as 'Concept of Prana', 'Universal Consciousness', 'Scientific basis of Samudra Manthan the Proverbial Churning of Cosmic Ocean', 'Lord Dattatreya', 'Ardha-Nari-Nateshwara' and 'Science behind 'Yogic Samadhi'. While doing so, the author does not claim that his interpretations on some of these enigmatic concepts are exactly true, but in the absence of any serious attempt done so far, they feel refreshing and he has attempted to re-validate religion and spirituality on scientific logic and reasons. Otherwise, we as a community were just holding them dear to our hearts for thousands of years as fanciful stories. These concepts were conceived and described by our ancient 'Rishis' in native terminologies and language and since then, have remained a part of our psyche in our life. Today, as professional scientists, we need to re-look to these concepts afresh from modern scientific perspective, identify and correlate them with current scientifically analogous terminologies, without losing their original perceptive meaning, they conveyed to our minds. In this respect, the logical scientific interpretations of the concepts of 'Soul', 'Rebirth', 'Work' and the 'Law of Karma', published earlier by the author, have received considerable attention and appreciation. In the same spirit, the author hopes that the readers would find this book also equally interesting, innovative, refreshing and scientifically logical to realize the continued relevance of the 'Sanatan Vedic Philosophy' even in the twenty first century.
