A Civic Spirituality of Sanctification
This volume presents the spirituality of John Calvin in three short texts drawn from his Institutes of the Christian Religion. Many consider Calvin the most influential thinker of the sixteenth century. His ideas flowed from Geneva into northern Europe, to the English-speaking lands of Britain, and through the Puritans to North America. The prolific writings of Calvin across several genres open up many aspects of Christian living, and each one offers an entr矇e to his spirituality. On the sup-position that "spirituality" refers to the way people or groups lead their lives in relation to ultimacy, three texts have been chosen to form the axis for this interpretation of Calvin's contribution. These texts deal with his theological view of law, a definition of sanctification, and a short treatise on the Christian life. The portrait of Calvin's spirituality that emerges from these texts and the larger framework of his theology, his ecclesiology, and his career as church leader and civic organizer can be summarized in the following phrase: a practical spirituality of sanctification by participation in society. One cannot find all of that in these texts, but they establish a platform on which the pieces fall into place. The story of his early life and formation, along with several key ideas that characterize the man and his vision, will help to draw a sharper, more distinctive picture of at least this influential aspect of Calvin's spirituality. It is one that bears direct relevance, with appropriate adjustments, to life today.
Naked Before God
When we approach God's throne, we enter into His presence in humble submission of His holiness, His glory, His majesty, His supreme authority, and His kingship. As servants of God, we do not take the opportunity to stand in His presence for granted, for this honor is only due to the shed blood of the unspotted lamb, Jesus the Christ, who stood as the propitiation for our sins, redeeming us back into proper fellowship with the divine creator. When we go before His throne and when we render ourselves for service, we are to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto Him, because it is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1). The stains and the sins of life prevent us from being holy, living sacrifices. This book will discuss some of the more prevalent conditions (fear, unforgiveness, bitterness, sexual sin, brokenness, and unfulfilled dreams) believers may be haunted by and how to be free of them.

A Life of Faith
It was something she had in the back of her mind for a long time: writing a book about her life story. A lot had happened in Barbara Vinson's life, so simple putting pen to paper would take time. However, her story was one she knew would inspire people facing trials like her; thus. her new memoir was written. A Life of Faith shares with readers Barbara's experiences and journey in faith, spanning several generations of her family and how they weathered life's storms. She shares about her parents first meeting to the birth of herself and her two siblings. She tells of her grief at the death of her parents, sister, great-grand mother and especially her daughter. She loves, learning with pursuits in education beginning with a bachelor's and master's degree in special education to a Ph.D. in Guidance and Psychological Services with specialties in School Psychology and working with parents of special needs children, and a master's degree in divinity. After her first marriage she had two children: a boy and a girl. It was known on day one that the children had physical disabilities. It took a while for the doctors to finally come up with a diagnosis of Congenital Myopathy. Barbara explains what this is and what it meant for her family. She explains how her faith helped her through the physical challenges and also the challenges of schooling. When the children were nine and ten years old, her husband walked out on her. But God brought her another man who loved her and her children and helped her deal with everything especially her own health issues. She was diagnosed with lupus at age thirty-nine. Her health has deteriorated since then with many other diagnoses including heart problems. What stands out most is the raising of her children, as Barbara raises faith filled children while continuing to deal with unrelenting health trials, something friends from church say inspire their faith and encourage them to keep going.Barbara discusses occupations she has held with each degree that she earns. She taught children with special needs including physical and mental needs. After earning her M.S., she began teaching children with learning disabilities. Her Ph.D. allowed her to teach at the university level and School psychology in the schools. When her health became better, she was able to go into ministry. These days she spends time with her great grandchildren. To coincide with the stories shared are the photos and drawings that capture facing the trials of life, with some of the photos and all of the drawings done by Barbara herself. Barbara can attest that life is tough, as readers will while reading through, A Life of Faith, but God hasn't given us a spirit of fear and no matter what the trials ahead, God hasn't left your side, God hasn't for Barbara and God won't for you.

The Ancient Chinese Super State of Primary Societies
Synopsis: In the last five thousand years, only six primary (or first) civilizations occurred in our human world, and such rare events were nothing but the result of special historical and environmental factors. Except China, all other five appeared on a narrow land near sea and desert. The vast mysterious sea water led prehistoric people to develop megalith culture and religion, and desert led to patriarchal and warrior culture, and narrow land led them to fight against each other in order to control the farm land: the five thousand years of civilization in upgrading war and economic classification. The Chinese civilization appeared near the desert but on a wide land far from the sea. When we divide all human societies into the genetically coded primary society and the man-made secondary society, only Chinese civilization started with the super state of primary societies. Since they kept the original natural mind out of the influence of the mysterious sea water, their early historical memories indicate that their super state was only a chiefdom keeping peace and dealing with vast river flood. Once this super state of primary societies was established: all people of different races thanked this super state for the peaceful environment. During the Axial Age, China was still a mixture of different races and different people to live together and hatched the Taoist and Confucian philosophies which take the primary society and natural man as their ideal. As a result, Chinese peasants still lived in quasi-primary society in the 1950s and the author described his mother and grandmother and their serene mind and natural life. Anthropologists believe that human linguistic chat only replaces anthropological apes' brewing each other's hair: the pure aesthetic value. Civilized humans used it to make the secondary society and man-made men drive each other to work harder and harder by war, which may be God's plan to accumulate wealth and knowledge for a computer world in which humans can enjoy their serenity life again like other animals on earth. This book uses 12 chapters and 3 appendix papers to establish this theory and describe this original but totally new lifestyle.Autobiography: You-Sheng Li graduated from the best medical school in China and received his Ph.D from the University of Cambridge, England. He published more than 30 papers in English and Chinese medical journals and received rewards twice in China for his research work. He started to read extensively on Taoism in 1998 and has dedicated entirely to social science after he retired in 2005. He divided human societies into the genetically coded primary society and the man-made secondary society, and found that unlike all other ancient civilizations, Chinese civilization started from the super state of primary societies until the Axial Age when Taoism and Confucianism established to guide the national consciousness and leave the countryside in the primary society until late 1950s. Celebration of Truth with the Letters of Light
Freedom of choice is what brings health and happiness to all humankind. In freedom there is love, life and light.Love has in it, discipline or it is not true love. Life has to be moving in a direction of health or it is not true life. Light has to have peace, perfection, balance and harmony or it is not true light. Knowing the above will help the present generation to choose more wisely and push away unhealthy traditions that come from the people, schools and religions that raised them. You choose to get up or stay in bed and both have a consequence. The choice is free but the consequence will always follow creation first even when creation's consequences are seen with time and then come the consequences from the parent's rules, state laws or laws of the government. Look at the animals of creation. Do they worship? Why not? Because they are created in their perfect sphere and need nothing! We as humankind should take note as we too are created in a sphere of perfectness and when we see creation and our Creator as truth we shine with life, love and light.
St. Teresa of Jesus
Father Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalen, O.C.D. (1893-1953), was a Discalced Carmelite priest, confessor and spiritual director. He was an expert in the writings of venerated Carmelite Mystics such as St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. For the last decade of his life Fr. Gabriel was the spiritual director for the Discalced Carmelite nuns of the Monastery of St. Joseph in Rome. It was with their assistance that he compiled his writings and mystical insight, arranging his material to correspond with the liturgical year, while following the ascent of the soul to transforming union with God.Originally published in 1949, this work was intended to serve as an introduction to a more comprehensive study of the works of St. Teresa. According to the author, St. Teresa's books, written rapidly and sometimes without a fixed plan, do not easily reveal the inner structure of her thought to the reader. This book serves to guide the reader to reveal the inner structure of her thought and to weave the various themes she touches upon into a more comprehensive narrative. It takes the reader through the several threads in St. Teresa's work to present the Tapestry more fully.

Little Book Open Collection BW
This is a philosophy book. It's my attempt to understand reality. I wanted to understand why an electron had a point charge. How it could produce Electrical and Magnetic Fields. To understand gravity and how it could bend space and time. To know if I had a soul and if I existed beyond death. To know if God was real and why there's discord and conflict in civilization. Then I saw God in His very throne room and realized that I was actually a drop of water in an ocean of absolute joy. This book is open for everyone regardless of their religion or beliefs. I understand that the simple, honest, humble, hardworking, loving people are the ones God wants. He's against conceitedness, selfishness, deceptiveness and aggressiveness. If you have these traits, He wants you to repent and come back to Him; it is His wish that all be saved, and none be lost. So read this book and see the truth. The first book explores the need to choose our direction. Towards a new dark age of ignorance and superstition or towards a new Renaissance of truth, mercy and equality? The second book presents a new physical Theory of Everything based upon interacting subspace singularities on an amorphous backdrop. It provides new models for elementary particles of matter and light. The third book describes how awareness and order exists in the universe. The fourth book reveals hidden truths and exposes existing lies about our civilization. The fifth book describes the nature of human beings and how we are influenced by the things that grow in the garden of our heart. The sixth book explores the human soul where the mind, the heart and the ID exists. The seventh book explores Biblical truths about our nature and how we can correct our behavior if we want to experience the best God has for us. The last book is all about Jesus's promises. Explores His words as humanity faces the horrors of the end time apocalypse. I am being very bold in naming this book "Little Book Open". For I think this is the book described in chapter 10 of the book of Revelation in the Christian Bible. And the Christians are not going to be very pleased about it either. Neither are the new age spiritualists, nor the scientist for this book is a challenge to all of them. What is truth and what is tradition? Do we just go through the motions of what's expected of us? Are we alive or are we just the walking dead? Where did the promises of life go? If you ever asked yourself these questions you might want to read these books
Entering the Holy of Holies

The Wonder Paradox
The Wonder Paradox offers a lively, practical, and transcendent road map to meaning and connection through poetry. Where do we find magic? Peace? Connection? We have calendars to mark time, communal spaces to bring us together, bells to signal hours of contemplation, official archives to record legacies, the wisdom of sages read aloud, weekly, to map out the right way to live--in kindness, justice, morality. These rhythms and structures of society were all once set by religion. Now, for many, religion no longer runs the show. So how then to celebrate milestones? Find rules to guide us? Figure out which texts can focus our attention but still offer space for inquiry, communion, and the chance to dwell for a dazzling instant in what can't be said? Where, really, are truth and beauty? The answer, says The Wonder Paradox, is in poetry. In twenty chapters built from years of questions and conversations with those looking for an authentic and meaningful life, Jennifer Michael Hecht offers ways to mine and adapt the useful aspects of tradition and to replace what no longer feels true. Through cultures and poetic wisdom from around the world--Sappho, Rumi, Shakespeare, Issa, Tagore, Frost, Szymborska, Angelou, and others--she blends literary criticism with spiritual guidance rooted in the everyday. Linking our needs to particular poems, she helps us better understand those needs, our very being, and poetry itself. Our capacity for wonder is one of the greatest joys of being human; The Wonder Paradox celebrates that instinct and that yearning.
