The book reports to Marxist-based perspectives - especially to Vygotsky's ideas and concepts. Therefore, it assumes the comprehension that in order to understand the phenomenon in its historical dimension it is necessary to put it into motion seeking to access the genesis of the manifestations evidenced at the moment of the investigation. That is, the historicity that characterizes the process of constitution of the human psyche can only be apprehended in its movement, thus, what matters is the process and not the product of its development. Nevertheless, apprehending phenomena in movement is a challenge for researchers interested in human processes within the scope of relationships or practices of professionals and/or subjects of various scenarios, which leads to the need to problematize the different moments of research and their dimension in the theoretical and practical fields. Which methodological techniques or procedures allow the apprehension of the meaning movement produced by the subjects in the investigated scenarios? To what extent does dialectical materialism derived from Marxism support the apprehension and analysis of research information of this nature? What other theoretical-methodological perspectives, related to Cultural-Historical Psychology, offer subsidies to these investigations? The theoretical perspectives based on the Social and Cultural analysis focus on the understandings of collective contexts precisely because of the subject view constituted in the inter-subjective relations that it undertakes - which adds even more complexity to the investigative processes. From this perspective, both the subject and other participants transform themselves during the investigation, such transformation needs to be permanently reflected and included in the research objectives and purposes, in order to follow the movement of the meanings in the expressed phenomenon.

This is my gift for you. I want you to live a high life, and that you do it easily. If you take a look at people who succeeded, you will find them to be average in many ways but open, patient, and persistent. We live in the era that sees thought as our main strength but in fact it is the unconscious who runs most of our life. It controls the bodily functions including perceptions and even our attractions; it produces the instant report on reality that the conscious side takes without discussion, and determines our decisions. "Limiting beliefs", for example, are etched in the unconscious. Once an emotional notion gets imprinted in our impressionable minds it determines all our ideas and actions, often for life, and we don't even know it is there. It does not matter if the notion is true or not; you can rest assured it will materialize. For example, the notion that Covid19 is deadly for the elderly could easily spread fueled with fear. It got engraved in the unconscious of many who ignored any unconfirming evidence. Then, their unconscious mind quickly acted to make it happen. It lowered their immune system and it became real. Now, when they have been vaccinated, the number of victims has come down to near zero. Vaccine is no cure but it creates the impression that I am immune to the virus. As a result, the immune system is bolstered not just by the vaccine itself but by the unconscious, acting to make real the new notion that it got inside. The notion of scarcity - false- planted in our unconscious plagues humankind: War, poverty, blocking the growth of others such as women, discrimination, competition without cooperation, self-defeating behavior, lack of integrity, famine, infidelity, perfidy, many of the negatives come from that erroneous notion. Yes, millions of people are hungry but overall there is abundance: we are now 7.7 billion at the table, triple that in 1950 and nature continues to create more and better life. So, most of people's beliefs and actions are created by a scary but false notion that there is not enough for all to go around. Once the notion is imprinted in the unconscious, it is taken as a reality that must happen and all our ideas and actions are directed to make it materialize, creating disgrace and drama for ourselves and others. Writing a book on charisma and leadership, by chance, I came across the work on the unconscious, documented by a few doctors and scientists who helped thousands of people over a century ago. They presented their research in France to be taught at the university but were turned down. With WWI, and after they passed by the 1920's their knowledge was forgotten and left away of public curiosity. They found out how often we convey to the unconscious what we fear and that is what happens to us. Carry-over or prediction? Investigating the predictive coding model using an auditory listening task
Bachelor Thesis from the year 2018 in the subject Psychology - Cognition, grade: 1,0, University of Salzburg, language: English, abstract: Researches have come up with the framework, that for the fluency of our perception we fundamentally rely on top-down predictions, which occur prior to the appearance of actual external stimuli. These predictions lead to very specific modulations of our perceptual units to facilitate perception. The theory behind this framework is the predictive coding theory, which has gathered increasing interest in research. The predictive coding theory could provide a better understanding of how we cope with perceiving our complex environment. For this study focus lies on the auditory domain. A recent study, conducted by Demarchi et al. (2018), could find evidence supporting the predictive coding framework. By analyzing MEG data they could even show, that predictions are so sharply tuned, that they contain specific tonotopic information about an upcoming tone. Due to the fact, that they trained a classifier on pre-stimulus data to decode post-stimulus data, their results are confounded with a carry-over effect (activity still present from previous stimuli). The purpose of this study is supporting this study and rule the carry-over effect out as the only explanation for their findings. We therefore conducted a follow-up experiment and changed the paradigm, as we included conditions with fixed and random stimulus omissions. Since no prediction activity should be found when the omission is fixed, a higher mean decoding accuracy in the random omission condition would directly indicate towards a tone-specific prediction. In our MEG-experiment we can provide further evidence for the findings of Demarchi et al. (2018), by finding this very result.
