Airplanes in Greenland
Aviation in Greenland began with the establishment of military airbases by the US during World War II, primarily Kangerlussuaq (then Sondrestrom and Blui West Eight) and Narsarsuaq (then Blui West One). These bases later facilitated civilian flights, including transatlantic routes, before the development of a domestic network served by Air Greenland (formerly Gr繪nlandsfly). When the company first started under the name Greenland Airlines, it was with the primary task of servicing the United States Air Force when their four DYE stations were to be supplied. The airline started with seaplanes and helicopters, expanding to fixed-wing aircraft and a network of short runway airports, eventually taking over international routes from SAS.Air Greenland has trained own staff of Greenlanders, who are today a mixture of Inuit and Danish or other Europeans and is a great success story of the development of a state owned company run commercially - albeit with subsidy, anchored in and serving the local community incl companies working in Greenland and participating in the development of tourism.

Flying Australia
Flying Australia sweeps European-trained private pilots across a continent where coral cays, snow-dusted ranges and ochre mesas share the same day's logbook. Beneath 18,000 ft almost everything outside a few capital TMA shelves is wide-open Class G, so you trade radio hand-offs for pure airmanship while hopping between more than 2000 maintained dirt strips and 340-plus paved aerodromes. The result is freedom backed by outback-tough infrastructure: one itinerary can lift off a reef ring, drift over kangaroos at sunset and finish under a velvet desert sky - no customs stamp required. Inside, the handbook turns that dream into a plan. Region-by-region weather playbooks, licensing and validation walkthroughs, budget and fuel hacks, survival gear checklists and "Copy-Tweak-Avoid" scenario scripts distil CASA rules into ready-to-fly kneeboard cards. Whether you're easing down Sydney's scenic lane, stringing a six-leg "Reef Run", or chasing the Red-Centre Triangle, the cockpit-side playbooks show exactly what to copy, where to add your margins and which gotchas ambush Euro-trained PICs. In short: pack this guide and trade European cloud-scratching for blue-sky confidence in Australian skies.

Greenland in Ships
Greenland has always been associated with ships.Erik the Red acquired the Haukadalr farm on the Icelandic Brei簸afj繹r簸ur (Breidafjord; near today's B繳簸ardalur in northwest Iceland) through marriage. The Althing sent him into exile for three years for having committed murder of his neighbor and he sailed to Greenland in 982 AD in a Viking ship.During WWII Greenland was supplied by the Americans and this led to Royal Greenland Trade Organization - KGH - loosing its trading and supply monopoly in 1951.Modernization of Greenland led to a further development of its fisheries because hunting and gathering could not sustain expensive modernization. By the way, all mushrooms in Greenland are edible. One of the fisheries that led to an expansion of the economy was the trawling for Greenland Shrimps (Pandalus borealis). The modern shrimp fishery had been pioneered by Carl Rasmussen (1841-1893) - Sommernat under den Gr繪nlandske Kyst circa Aar 1000- Summer night under the Greenlandic coast circa 1000 AD, 1875. Faroese and Danish fishermen in large vessels with onboard processing. In the event of Home Rule in 1979 the Greenlanders gradually pushed these fishermen out of the fishery.
