Ark of the Covenant, Landing Dove

2025/06/02 出版

Do you pursue scriptures, thirsty for ancient mysteries? Are there enough answers to clarify your revelations? What contradictions are you still facing? Millennia have gone since the secrets of the Ark were lost. Where did it go? What was it anyhow? Without confirmation, science began taunting the Bible. Roadblocks and snares were set for believers. Humanity started questioning. Did science overthrow our doctrines? Where does the timeline of creation stand with modern research? When technology seems to have surpassed spirituality, think again. Religion waits at the finish line. For the first time in history, you will be allowed to see the Ark of the Testimony. The Word of GOD now leads the way. Landing Dove is like a river flowing with answers. It provides scientific proof that the Bible is authentic and divine. This book has your missing links. You can study how quantum mechanics tunes doctrines to the Source of creation. Learn about consulting the Urim and Thummim. You'll explore atomic and molecular physics established by the patriarchs. Then discover evolution and dinosaurs in the scriptures. Translate veils using the Oracle and watch the walls of Jericho fall.

Phase Transitions in the Theory of Lattice Gases

Barry,Simon  著
2025/05/30 出版

The intersection of statistical mechanics and mathematical analysis has proved a fertile ground for mathematical physics and probability, and in the decades since lattice gases were first proposed as a model for describing physical systems at the atomic level, our understanding of them has grown tremendously. A book that provides a comprehensive account of the methods used in the study of phase transitions for Ising models and classical and quantum Heisenberg models has been long overdue. This book, written by one of the masters of the subject, is just that. Topics covered include correlation inequalities, Lee-Yang theorems, the Peierls method, the Hohenberg-Mermin-Wagner method, infrared bounds, random cluster methods, random current methods and BKT transition. The final section outlines major open problems to inspire future work. This is a must-have reference for researchers in mathematical physics and probability and serves as an entry point, albeit advanced, for students entering this active area.

Physics Around the Clock

Prometheus 出版
2025/05/28 出版

Physics not only shapes the cosmos but every aspect of our lives. Physics Around the Clock is an illuminating and fun journey through the physics of everyday life. From the thermodynamics of cooking the perfect pizza, or what 'plate' mechanics says about how to cut your fingernails, to the optimal way to board an airplane, this lively book explains what physics can reveal about so many seemingly ordinary aspects of everyday living. In this fun and fascinating book, Physics World news editor Michael Banks follows a typical day, beginning at breakfast and the morning routine, and moving through typical daytime activities and evening pursuits, including sports, gardening, looking after pets, socializing and playing games, and enjoying a take-away and film. Binding it all together is physics and what physical theories or experimental techniques can reveal about our everyday situations.

The Moon as seen from different latitudes

Ingram 出版
2025/05/28 出版

Why does the Moon's altitude and azimuth (where it rises and sets) vary from night to night? What do people from the equator to polar regions see?The Moon is a creature of the tropics: from the northern hemisphere at mid-latitudes we see it to the south and similarly, from the southern hemisphere to the north. It moves above and below the Earth's equatorial plane during the month so we see it in slightly different positions each night. As you move away from tropical latitudes it will appear progressively lower, and due to the Earth's fixed tilt, the Moon is seen higher in winter than in summer. The Moon's apparent altitude depends on your latitude on Earth and the Moon's declination (the angle it makes with the Earth's equatorial plane). The formula for maximum altitude is given. The Moon can only be seen at the zenith within, at the most, 28.5簞 latitude north and south. The author presents charts of the Moon's altitude as seen from various latitudes in summer and winter and discuss upper and lower transits.

Earth in Flames

2025/05/27 出版

Sixty-six million years ago an asteroid as large as Mt. Everest hit what is now the Yucatan Peninsula at a speed ten times faster than the fastest rifle bullet. Debris from the impact blew into space, re-entered the atmosphere as a swarm of shooting stars that burned the global forests and grasslands, leaving behind a thin global layer containing rock from the asteroid and from Mexico, and smoke from the fires. This layer marks one of the greatest extinctions in Earth history including not just dinosaurs, but also fish, plankton, ammonites, and plants making up about 75% of the known species. The major culprits in these extinctions are loss of sunlight due to absorption by the smoke and decade-long ice age temperatures. A nuclear war with just a few hundred of the world's 12,000 nuclear weapons targeted on densely populated cities could plunge Earth into the same types of conditions that the dinosaurs experienced. Even a war between India and Pakistan could kill 1 to 3 billion people from starvation due to agricultural failure, while 6 billion people might starve following a war involving Russia, NATO, and the U.S. The book describes how the dinosaurs died, and how their deaths parallel what might happen to people after a nuclear war. The book reflects on the odds of future asteroid impacts, how to stop them, and ends with what the readers personally and together can do to prevent a nuclear war, so that humans don't end up like the dinosaurs.

Field-Theoretic Simulations in Soft Matter and Quantum Fluids

2025/05/27 出版

This monograph provides an introduction to field-theoretic simulations in classical soft matter and Bose quantum fluids. The method represents a new class of molecular computer simulation in which continuous fields, rather than particle coordinates, are sampled and evolved. Field-theoretic simulations are capable of analysing the properties of systems that are challenging for traditional simulation techniques, including dense phases of high molecular weight polymers, self-assembling fluids, and quantum fluids at finite temperature. The monograph details analytical methods for converting classical and quantum many-body problems to equilibrium field theory models with a molecular basis. Numerical methods are described that enable efficient, accurate, and scalable simulations of such models on modern computer hardware, including graphics processing units (GPUs). Extensions to non-equilibrium systems are discussed, along with an introduction to advanced field-theoretic simulation techniques including free energy estimation, alternative ensembles, coarse-graining, and variable cell methods.

GROWTH, STRUCTURAL & PEC STUDY OF GeSePb SINGLE CRYSTAL SEMICONDUCTOR

Ingram 出版
2025/05/27 出版

Single crystal growth by vapor transport technique with appropriate temperature profile has been covered in present book. Structural and compositional confirmation analysis have been made through X - Ray diffraction technique and EDAX, detailed analysis has been presented for these as grown single crystals. Finally, utilization of these as grown single crystals made by Photoelectrochemical (PEC) Solar cell. Authors tried to evaluate single crystals semiconductor as PEC solar cell and all physical and chemical parameters have been presented and covered nicely in presented book.
