Find Your Fabulous
We live in a wonderfully diverse world, with lots of different cultures, races, religions and abilities. It can be easy to focus on our differences. However, I think we all have in common the most important things for any human: we all want to feel loved, to feel happy, and to feel we belong. In this book, there are lots of children. They all look very different. They all have people and things they love. They all have varied life experiences. Some are disabled and some are non-disabled. And they all have one amazing, incredible, joyful thing in common: they are all fabulous, just as they are. I am a confidence and self-esteem coach and have been working with children, young people, and adults for a very long time, and I have seen how hard it is for most of them to believe in themselves, to see themselves as the wonderful beings they are. I was one of those people, too, until I started working on believing how brilliant I am. This book demonstrates some of the work I do with young children. There is silliness and songs, but the meaning is serious, because it's far easier to boost a child's self-esteem when they're young, than repair it when they're an adult. We all deserve to feel great about ourselves and this book is a way for all readers to see that. So, join in with me, and say it loud: I am fabulous!

Princess Yoyo's Rebus Treasury
Book Overview: A rebus story is told using pictures/drawings in place of words. The pictures can symbolise a word, an action or a character. In a rebus book, complex words have their image added to them, so the child is able to easily decode them and work on the sight words used in-between. Because the Rebus principle focuses on pictographs representing single words, sounds and syllables, it can help children get to grips with specific phonemes they need to know. It can also be used among older children to tap on their decoding skills! Read along this exciting story book with Princess Yoyo as she depicts her 3 wonderful and colourful short stories with you! When you see a picture in place of a word, say the word in its place to read the story. "Princess Yoyo's Rebus Treasury" is an excellent guide for young readers, trying to learn how to form sentences and read. Younger children can be read to, while older ones should be encouraged to read on their own. After all, kids would love reading/recognising colourful pictures in place of words! Young author moralises her fellow readers the art of sharing, giving and exploring the world around you. This rebus book helps children increase their vocabulary. It is an attempt to familiarise them with certain set of words. The colourful illustrations make the subject attractive and grab their attention. This story book is: Suitable for children of age group 2 - 7 years, but can be used for learners up till the age of 12 to develop decoding skills. Can be used by individuals as well as schools. Ten Oni Drummers
In this playful, rhyming story, young children find reassurance and comfort for their fears when scary dreams come their way. Through art and story, children also learn about Japanese taiko drumming and the Japanese words and characters for the numbers one to ten.At dusk, on a beach in Japan, a young boy falls asleep and begins to dream, but soon he has company--a tiny oni, creeping up from the sand. Throughout the night, one by one, more oni appear, until there are ten in all, and they grow bigger, too. They begin beating their taiko drums, louder and louder. They play games, have a big meal, and eventually chase away the boy's scary dreams. With bright watercolor paintings, Stone draws on the folk culture of her native Japan to portray the monsters as both frightening and funny. A delightful read-aloud that's part counting exercise and part bedtime story!
